As Apple Park’s opening date draws near, take an aerial tour via drone of one of the biggest corporate campuses ever.
YouTuber Matthew Roberts offers up the video of Apple Park which is located on suburban site now totaling 175 acres and is planned to house more than 12,000 employees in one central four-storied circular building of approximately 2,800,000 square feet.
It’s got a gorgeous courtyard in the middle, and a lot more. It’s a circle, so it’s curved all the way round. This is not the cheapest way to build something. Every pane of glass in the main building will be curved. We have a shot, at building the best office building in the world. I really do think that architecture students will come here to see it. – Steve Jobs

I can’t imagine this facility with a coal burning stack- stick to your guns Apple! It’s the RIGHT thing to do!
no wonder apples mac lineup has gone downhill. they are spending so much time on this building
Not likely this building and Apple’s Macs are being built by the same people. 🙂
Once this is completed, I wonder if this guy is going to make a compilation of the fly-overs, showing the entire process from start to finish.
Terrific idea!
Hopefully, Apple has been taking its own photos and videos of the construction process along the way to document this corporate milestone for posterity. If not, then Apple should contract with this person to provide content and help produce a video that includes brief statements from people engaged in the planning and execution of this facility.
I can’t imagine Apple, Norman Foster and Ove Arup would let the opportunity pass to film the construction of such a landmark project. It’s a great example of no compromise and will be lauded as such, not withstanding the naysayers gloom.
The comparison with Google’s scaled back new HQ project minus its fanciful design pretentious is hilarious.
