Latest Apple Campus 2 stunning drone flyover video shows completed buildings

“In our latest installment of Apple Campus 2 flyovers, we see that Apple is nearing completion for its 2017 opening,” Seth Weintraub reports for 9to5Mac. “The main structures are almost complete from the outside and trees and fountains and other landscaping are going in.”

“Note that solar panels line the roofs of almost all of the buildings and parking structures save for the carbon fiber events auditorium and the HVAC-lined R&D building,” Weintraub reports. “Apple hopes to make its Campus 2 building self-sustaining, at least during sunny days.”

  1. It’s gorgeous. No other way to put it.

    But I have to wonder if having “the worlds largest glass panels, custom made it Germany” is the wisest material to use …..IN A MAJOR EARTHQUAKE ZONE!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I was there in Palo Alto for the ’89 Loma Prieta quake. Believe me it really got your attention.

    Truth is there was no mass shattering of windows that I can remember back in ’89 but I gotta think that someday we’re going to find out just how well this place was designed.

    1. Oh my! You should totally be an engineer. Not one of the thousands of engineers that put this together even thought about the earthquake possibility. You are truly marvellous and the Apple hired engineers are a bunch of dolts.
