“I’ve been overwhelmed with presidential politics, and am painfully aware of everything there is to know about both candidates. But that’s just the main event,” Mark Sullivan reports for Fast Company.
“If you’re like me, you could use a little help mastering that jungle of people and issues further down on the ballot this year. We’ve got the House and Senate seat races to worry about, and all the state and local ballot initiatives,” Sullivan reports. “I will definitely be doing some last-minute cramming to help me when I enter the voting booth and that big long ballot is staring up at me waiting for my answers.”
Sullivan reports, “Apple says the below apps will let you stay informed on everything you’ll see on the ballot tomorrow, as well as help with logistics like finding the hours and locations of local polling places.”

MacDailyNews Take: There’s no such thing as an “unbiased take on news,” but some outlets are certainly better than others. We haven’t yet tried “Newsy.” If you have, what’s your verdict?

The App Approval Process clearly forbids…
“1.1.1 Defamatory or mean-spirited content, including references or commentary about religion, race, sexual orientation, gender, or other targeted groups, particularly if the app is likely to place a targeted individual or group in harm’s way. Professional political satirists and humorists are generally exempt from this requirement.”
“1.1.3 Depictions that encourage illegal or reckless use of weapons and dangerous objects, or facilitate the purchase of firearms.
1.1.4 Overtly sexual or pornographic material, defined by Webster’s Dictionary as “explicit descriptions or displays of sexual organs or activities intended to stimulate erotic rather than aesthetic or emotional feelings.”
1.1.5 Inflammatory religious commentary or inaccurate or misleading quotations of religious texts.”
