“On Friday Patently Apple reported that Apple fans in South Korea enthusiastically Lined up to get their hands on the new ‘Non Exploding’ iPhone 7,” Jack Purcher reports for Patently Apple.
“So how did that translate into sales?” Purcher reports. “According to a new South Korean report today, Friday alone rang in sales of more than 100,000 units of the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus combined with more than 300,000 units of iPhone 7 that were also pre-ordered. Selling well over 400,000 iPhone 7s in its first week is nothing shy of stunning.”
“Lee Byung-tae, a professor at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology’s College of Business noted for the report that it is difficult to estimate how many Note7 owners have opted for the iPhone 7,” Purcher reports. “But those that have switched are probably lost to Samsung once someone has switched away from Android.”

Initial take from MDN’s Amazon Echo poll – the majority f expel that want an Echo have already purchase one.
At this point isn’t that like saying “the majority of people that want an iPhone 6 have already purchased one”?
Of people
iPhone 7 & 7 Plus is explosive only in sales. Many to most of those converting souls (motivated by self-preservation and that unwanted burning sensation) most likely will never go back either. Hearty cruel chuckles at SamSplode’s (jack of all trades, master of only pyrotechnics) expense all around.
But it doesn’t even have a 3.5mm headphone jack!
This is where we are isn’t it?
‘Schadenfreude’ is the feeling of joy that comes from seeing or hearing about another person’s troubles or failures.
Reading the sick comments here is a sad reminder of just how far gone humanity is.
But never mind eh, this is just harmless laughing at a faceless foreign corporation’s bad news.
No, it is not. it’s a sign that empathy and love is dead.
I recall reading the term “schadenfreude” around the web when Steve died of cancer. “Serves him right” they said, “for stealing others’ ideas.”
“Karma’s a bitch.” they said, citing Steve’s appalling treatment of underlings, or whatever other alleged evils he was guilty of.

Please look that up and read verse 6 very carefully.
Preaching, fairy tales and indoctrination belong somewhere else.
1. In business, as in war, turning the other cheek is rarely a winning strategy.
2. Samsung and Android have essentially stolen a lot of IP, products, business, and money from Apple and its shareholders. You should not expect any love lost from Apple fans on anything Samsung or Android.
3. Peace.
I think “holier than thou” describes “Love Is Dead” and the above post quite well.
No. Love is not dead. What died was compassion and competence at Samsung, if they ever had any. Obviously, if you bother to study the history of Samsung VS its customers and Samsung VS Apple, this is an entirely well deserved scenario of Samsung. That we turn their abuse of others into a source of fun and amusement has nothing to do with love or hate. It has to do with enjoy the justice of it all.
Oh and we’ve had FLOCKS of anti-Apple paid-by-Samsung trolls descend here on an almost daily basis, deceitful people doing their best to make we Apple fanatics feel miserable. Again, the justice of it all. It’s free speech, it’s the flow of thoughts via comments. This website has never been about anything more than tech chatter with infusions of nonsense (aka politics…) throw in. It’s not church. It’s not important. It’s not a spirit building experience. It’s for fun and sharing, certainly from my perspective. On it’s best days, we share knowledge and help one another. That’s as good as it gets here.
So chatter I.
Bravo Derek ! it’s always a pleasure to read your posts but this time you have provided a breath of sanity in an issue that has brought out the worst in some people. Thanks for your compassionate and thoughtful words.
Oops, revealed my real name , bah humbug
Why would anyone have any love for a thief?
Just fuck off and die!
Android: A stolen product from Apple modified using stolen code from Oracle.
I think you’re mistaking the feelings for an individual for the feelings about a company. I’m sure everyone has sympathy for those people who had the misfortune have having their phone catch on fire…. that goes for any brand of phone.
However, there isn’t a lot of sympathy for Samsung. Samsung is a shameless company that copies and steals from others. They don’t care about the well being of their customers. They steal from companies like Apple and then turn around and attempt to mock them in their advertisements. As they say, Karma’s a bitch. It’s finally catching up with Samsung. Hopefully, they’ll learn a bit of humility in their actions and in their advertisements going forward. I’m not counting on it though.
