Sales of iPhone 7/Plus accounted for 43% of all Q3 U.S. iPhone sales in just two weeks

“Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP) reports that the iPhone 7/Plus accounted for 43% of all iPhone sales in Q3 despite being available for only the final two weeks of the quarter,” Ben Lovejoy reports for 9to5Mac. “The research company estimates that the iPhone 7 notched up 31% of sales with the larger Plus model at 12%.”

“Many people wait for the new models before buying,” Lovejoy reports, “but the numbers are high enough, says CIRP, to describe it as ‘a positive reception for the new 7 and 7 Plus models.'”

Lovejoy reports, “More than a third of iPhone 7 buyers were upgrading from an iPhone 6/Plus, generating 36% of all sales of the new models, while 17% upgraded from the 6S/Plus.”

    1. I went for the more flat black 7 Plus 256 and man am I glad I did. I’ve always been more of a fan of the sort of flat anodized look than glossy. And finger prints not as much of a problem. I have noticed that probably all of their phones feel a little slick in your hands but a silicon rubber case protects and takes care of that.

I understand many don’t like cases but inevitably your iPhone will get dropped and it’s then you appreciate a case most (and no subsequent need, inconvenience or downtime for a repair). The silicone cases have a nice low profile though and feel good in your hand.
