iPhone 7 and 7 Plus launch in India: Apple’s latest flagship gets record-breaking response

“At the stroke of 7 PM on Friday, the month-long wait to grab an iPhone 7 came to an end as Apple enthusiasts who pre-ordered iPhone 7 and 7 Plus devices swarmed Apple flagship and retail stores across the country to grab their handsets,” The Indian Express reports. “After receiving a stupendous response from 28 countries in the first phase, beginning from September 16 and additional 30 countries from September 24, iPhone 7 and 7 Plus finally arrived in India and the mood was upbeat.”

“‘I want to thank Apple enthusiasts for breaking all records with the new iPhone 7 launch. This launch is beyond comparison in India. This is iPhone 7, after all,’ Mikey Todd, Managing Director, iZenica, Apple Premium Reseller in India, told IANS,” The Indian Express reports. “For Neha Rana, 24, holding her very own iPhone 7 was worth a long wait. ‘Getting an iPhone on the very first day before others means a lot. My heart skipped several beats as I held it for the first time. It’s like carrying the most classy brand in your pocket which speaks on its own,’ Rana, who got the device from the iZenica Apple Store at GIP Mall here.”

“According to industry analysts, since the festive season is on and Diwali falls on October 30, this is a strategic time for Apple to register better iPhone 7 sales in the country,” The Indian Express reports. “‘With this, Apple will have three-four weeks of solid festive momentum. Last year, Apple launched iPhone models on October 16 in India. This year, the company will have more time-frame to register better sales figures,’ Tarun Pathak, Senior Analyst, Mobile Devices and Ecosystems at New Delhi-based Counterpoint Research, told IANS.”

    1. India, India, India. This is all I here from MDN lately. Is one of the MDN interns Indian by any chance? Look, India is of NO consequence to Apple’s bottom line. Why, you ask? The curry heads are cheap and smelly, that’s why. India is the poorest of the poor. They’re interested in buying used iPhones of 3 or 4 generations past, not the latest and greatest.

  1. Stop trying to pump up iPhone 7 sales on MDN. On Monday it’s almost guaranteed Apple’s share price will be way down due to record DECLINING iPhone sales. Meanwhile Samsung is doing just fine by selling $150 smartphones to the general consumer.

Only Apple shareholders are ending up in the toilet. It has already been decided by Wall Street almost no one in India can afford iPhones and the big investors will continue to dump Apple stock at record rates. Tim Cook has put a noose around the neck of all loyal Apple shareholders and the analysts are pulling those levers to the trap doors on a daily basis. Amazon stock is rapidly heading to $1000 a share and Apple stock is going absolutely nowhere while Tim Cook and his buddies cash in their stock options and laugh.

    1. I’ve been badgering you to dump your AAPL and buy AMZN and GOOG. Listen to yourself. Spare yourself the anguish of trying to win in a rigged system, and spare us your handwringing…or at least put a sarcasm tag on your comments.
