PhoneBuff has posted a video to YouTube of a real-world speed test between Apple’s iPhone 7 (A10 Fusion quad-core) and the iPhone 6s (A9 dual-core) to see if and how much faster this year’s iPhone is that the last.
The new custom-designed Apple A10 Fusion chip features a new architectures, making it the most powerful chip ever in a smartphone, while also getting more time between charges with the longest battery life ever in an iPhone. The A10 Fusion’s CPU offers four cores, seamlessly integrating two high-performance cores that run up to two times faster than iPhone 6, and two high-efficiency cores that are capable of running at just one-fifth the power of the high-performance cores. Graphics performance is also more powerful, running up to three times faster than iPhone 6 at as little as half the power, enabling a new level of gaming and professional apps.

MacDailyNews Take: Apple’s A-series processors are in a class by themselves. The only thing that can beat an iPhone is an iPhone.
As for the video, it’s a bit deceiving. As former users of iPhone 6s Plus units, our new iPhone 7 Plus units are noticeably faster. You will notice the difference with every tap. If you are coming from an iPhone 6/Plus or older, you will be stunned at the speed.
Apple’s iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are the world’s fastest smartphones by a large margin.
A testament to how fast the 7 is, is how fast it renders the artistic Prisma video filters.
Just a few short years ago not even a desktop machine could render that stuff as fast.
Where’s the battery shoot out?
People “who live on their iPhone” just need to keep a spare “battery case” available.
I don’t really understand how people get anything done if they are on their iPhones 6-8 hours a day.
Must be living on mommy & daddy’s $s in the basement.
