Eddy Cue interviews Bruce Springsteen at Apple SoHo

“Bruce Springsteen today sat down with Apple executive Eddy Cue for an interview at the SoHo Apple Store in New York City,” Chance Miller reports for 9to5Mac. “The interview focused mainly on Springsteen’s new memoir Born to Run, which was released earlier this week.”

“Apple Stores, especially in flagship locations like SoHo, have long held events but it’s interesting to see Eddy Cue moderate an interview,” Miller reports. “Cue himself is a big music fan, so that likely influenced the choice.”

Miller reports, “Additionally, Apple Music head honcho Jimmy Iovine was also in attendance.”

  1. As a big Apple investor and huge Apple fan of many, many years, I wish Eddy would just go away. He continues to fail to be a good face on the front line for Apple. I don’t know, maybe it’s because he looks perpetually intoxicated. Sorry, but I had to get that off my chest.

    1. Both Steve, (guessing based on being “vegan”), but especially Tim were health focused. Jonny, I suspect as well. But the rest of the Apple executive team seem to have their vices.

When you said Eddy looks perpetually drunk, I had to laugh at that. Some people just look drunk. Maybe he is or maybe it’s worse.

What would you have happen otherwise? How can this be done better? It seems Apple or Eddy is grasping at straw, trying anything to add ethos to the negotiating table. Iovine seems to be at every turn. Maybe he’s Eddy’s baby sitter?

      1. He is a wealthy senior executive at the largest, most profitable company in the world, doing a job he loves. He’s just perpetually happy. Hell, when I was working at a good company in a rewarding job, I used to start dancing every time I was alone on the elevator. Being happy can make people look happy.
