Apple releases iOS 10.1 and watchOS 3.1 betas to developers

“Apple has just seeded the first iOS 10.1 beta for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch,” Benjamin Mayo reports for 9to5Mac.

“This follows the public release of iOS 10 from just last week. It has also seeded the first update to watchOS 3; watchOS 3.1,” Mayo reports. “Features included in the new seeds are currently unclear, but it may incorporate the new bokeh Portrait feature for the iPhone 7 Plus.”

“Alongside the first betas of iOS 10.1 and watchOS 3.1,” Mayo reports, “Apple has also release developers seeds for a new version of macOS and Xcode: macOS 10.12.1 and Xcode 8.1.”

MacDailyNews Take: Bokeh! (Hopefully. We haven’t tried the beat, yet.)

  1. I sure hope it’s better watchOS three slowed my watch them and now instead of having the weather on my screen all it says is either AccuWeather or whether or the weather channel but I don’t actually get what the weather is I have to click on it and then I have to wait 15/22 for it to update before I could just glance and have weather temp and more.

I thought os3 was supposed to be faster.

  2. Problems with iOS 10.
I have over a 1000 Page documents on my iPhone 6 and iPad Air. Over 60% have been blocked with a message ” You have not received permission from the owner or sharing”
I have to duplicate the file and then it will open. It’s far too many files for me to do this.
Also you cannot capture a picture of the screen. By clicking the on and off button and home button simultaneously.
Are any of you having these problems. Do you know of a solution

  3. You can always tell it’s that time of day when MDN have put down the koolaid and started drinking vodka. Ok so they haven’t tried the beat (beta) yet. And in other posts, Appel (Apple). And in another post, what is your favourite photog (photo/photography) app?

They haven’t tried the beta, because they do not own Apple devices. They hit whore. The moment I got the email from Apple that they were removing old, unmaintained Apps – it was a huge discussion all over the web. Yet never mentioned at MDN. They have a live (shit unmainted app that should be removed) but they didn’t get that memo did they?

And the Samsung adverts here? Excuses have been made because ShameSung is mentioned in the posts. It’s BS, when you set up a campaign you can select which adverts are/are not appriate to your site. For example porn sites have adult ads and family sites don’t. When MDN set up the ad space (I use Blockr) they can emit Samsung ads etc. but they don’t for the bucks. Maybe that’s how they are always first in line for every maxed out Apple (yes Apple not Appel) the say that have and buy. But I call BS. Have a think on it?

  4. I have to wait for my iP7+, for the beta. I will hand down the 6S+ and I don’t want to give them a beta OS I can’t remove. Just don’t want to try and risk not being able to downgrade.

But I will install when my phone comes in, eventually. Stuck in Korea, of all places. 😉
