“Last week at its ‘See you on the 7th’ event, Apple announced that it will be releasing iOS 10 to the public on September 13,” Gautam Prabhu reports for iPhoneHacks.
“We have received a lot of queries from readers asking us at what time iOS 10 will be available,” Prabhu reports. “While it is anybody’s guess as it completely depends on when Apple, based on previous major releases, Apple should be releasing it at around 10 AM PST/1 PM EST.”
“Since 2010, Apple had released a major software update at this time,” Prabhu reports. “If you’re wondering what time it will be released in your time zone then we’ve you covered. ”

MacDailyNews Take: If you’ve been eschewing the iOS 10 public betas and waited for the official release instead, you’ve likely to be very happy with the upgrade from iOS 9!

Not updating my iphone 6, tried the beta a few weeks ago but did not like it very much. There are some aspects that are very 3d touch centered, like notifications… For iphone 6s/7 users it will probably be great tough.
No problems on my SE. Anything in particular you’re concerned about?
I might be wrong, but i believe it actually takes more steps to get stuff done on ios 10 if you dont have 3d touch
While that may be true, if you don’t currently have a 3D Touch capable device, you aren’t going to miss it. With my iMac I use a mouse, but it doesn’t keep me from upgrading just because Apple adds extra touch features for trackpad owners. Same thing here. If you have the hardware, you get the extra feature.
Also… it doesn’t take “more” steps to get stuff done… it takes the same amount of steps as it did before in other versions of iOS. If you happen to have a device with 3D Touch, you’ll have access to shortcuts.

Ok it seems if you have been doing beta you can update today. Bc my iPhone and iPad are updating now. But my wife’s still shows 9.
When is the AppleTV update coming?
Not upgrading to iOS 10.
Too much social media/imessaging emphasis and not enough emphasis on other productivity functionality.
No real substance in this initial release.
I will wait for future updates.
If nothing substantive throughout iOS 10 development, I may skip iOS 10, altogther.
I totally skipped iOS 8, I can do it again for iOS 10 if it offers notning of use to me.
I have the large iPad Pro and I would like Apple to do more to make that device more “Pro” than it is now.
Adding iMessaging improvements, like digital stickers,animated stickers and other messaging animations does not add anything “pro” to my iPads.
I may update update my 6th Gen iPod Touch, not sure, but not my iPad Pro.
Both my 64 GB iPad 2 and 3 models are done with iOS.
So, I don’t have to worry anymore about these any longer.
So far, the initial release of iOS 10 appears to be a waste of precious data space on my iDevices
You might wanna wait a few weeks in case of any little surprises. Just sayin.
New phone arrives Friday. I’ll just wait and get a better phone and new OS all in one day. BOOM!
