It’s official. Apple has scheduled a special media event for September 7th at 10am PDT/ipm EDT at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco.
You can watch the keynote live via Apple’s HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) technology. HLS requires an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with Safari on iOS 7.0 or later, a Mac with Safari 6.0.5 or later on OS X v10.8.5 or later, or a PC with Microsoft Edge on Windows 10. Streaming via Apple TV requires an Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation) with software 6.2 or later or an Apple TV (4th generation).
Expected revelations include the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and the Apple Watch 2.

MacDailyNews Take: As usual, we’ll have live coverage, so you can comment along as the event unfolds. That link will be posted on closer to the event.
Excellent. Let’s hope Apple addresses the doomsayers here. Looking forward to an iPhone 7 or whatever it’s called. My Apple Watch is fine for now. There would have to be significant incentives in new features to buy after only a year.
Only a braindead person would’ve bought one to begin with.
So you bought one then eh Mac?
So you must’ve bought a couple dozen Apple Watches then.
@peterblood71
So let me get this right, you’re looking forward to a phone that takes away the support of all your 3.5mm accessories without using a dongle?
Hope Apple also has a bridge they’re trying to sell you also.
Wonder if that bridge is the one you live under, troll breath.
@You schmuck
Aren’t you special.
Ha! he got you pretty good little lame troll…
I think you hit the wrong target there.
Excited already!
The date (7th) is purposely picked (in prior years, it was more often a Tuesday, rather than Wednesday, if I remember correctly).
I’m guessing it implies that the new phone will be iPhone 7.
It’s more likely that it’s because the 5th is Labor Day, so they aren’t making the press and other attendees travel on a holiday for an event the next day. They’ve held events on Wednesdays after Monday holidays in the past, I think.
True. Let us not read too much into that date after all.
‘we’ hadn’t actually. Sorry couldn’t resist.
Actually, that was Royal We…
I hope they remember that they happen to be the company that sells Macs and the Mac line up is hurting, big time.
Fascinating that the previously Safari-only stream is now also available on Microsoft Edge browser.
Too fast, can’t mentally prepare. Can’t wait ether.
So much stress.
😃 As if, this was our only real problem – waiting for the new iPhone.
Now is the time to speculate on the importance of every detail in the invite. Obviously the date is significant (iPhone 7), but I noticed the out-of-focus lights first. I’m hoping that means both iPhone cameras will have significantly larger sensors and apertures for better depth of field effects. And I really hope any post-capture background blur adjustment isnt limited to the 2 camera Plus. But it probably will be.
Yes, from what I can see from the invite is the number of different colours the new pro iMacs will and mac pros come in, along with 5400rpm drives and integrated graphics. Let’s hope they are even skinnier than the present models!
I think I’ll have the slightly off pink greyish rose gold green one please Jony.
No, it’s blurred icons for the watch. I would say they are going with version 2
Going to predict this is pretty much an iPhone (meh) event. And for the first time, might just skip trying to watch it live. Probably be impossible with streaming issues, don’t expect that to change like past events.
Streaming hasn’t been a problem for a couple of years niw
The image is the top of the Apple Logo
Damn it your right, didn’t see that.
So this invite demonstrates how blurred and unfocused Apple product strategy is?
I see Apple WATCH apps out of focus forming the top of the Apple logo.
No new Macs, no dice Apple
I need to round up my headphone and ear buds around the house today and place them in a goodwill box! After Sept. 19th I won’t be needing them anymore! 🙂
Yahoo
the blurry lights in the distance are all about NIGHT photos! Yahoo! and maybe depth of field?
I can see it now. The iPhone 6SE has been demonstrated and the end of the event approaches. Tim Cook steps up and says, “Oh, and one more thing. I got nuthin’.” The presentation ends.
LOL
No, the blurry lights look like a tiny car with a person in it. The iCar will be revealed!
