“An iPhone spec leaker has shed some information on the forthcoming ‘iPhone 7’ release, reiterating some figures that have been suspected for some time — and possibly exposing specific camera details for the first time,” Mike Wuerthele reports for AppleInsider.
“The camera on the ‘iPhone 7’ is said to be a 12-megapixel unit, with a 1/2.6-inch sensor (versus 1/3-inch on the iPhone 6s), ƒ/1.9 aperture (versus 2.2), and 1.3 µm pixels,” Wuerthele reports. “The dual-lens camera often rumored for the ‘iPhone 7 Plus’ is seemingly confirmed, with a pair of 12-megapixel cameras, each said to have a 1/3-inch sensor, and a ƒ/1.9 aperture. The leaker declined to give specifications for pixel size.”
Wuerthele reports, “The leaker broadcast the information Chinese microblogging service Weibo, and is said to have been generally accurate with specification leaks in the past by Techtastic.”

I’m my situation, I’ve been using Moment lenses with my 6S and prior 6. They are important to my photography but the rumored 7 seems to obviate being able to use them – and they’re not an inexpensive add-on.
I also use Etymotic noise-reducing earbuds. I ride motorcycles – often 200-500 miles, and need the reduction in ambient noise. I am unaware of any Bluetooth devices that would have a battery that’d last long enough for me or provide the ambient noise reduction (please share info on anything that might be a Bluetooth noise-reducing substitute for wired).
So, for me, upgrading to the new device might take a while. JMO.

This is what I find most interesting about so-called “inside sources”. They are “generally accurate”, which means that if enough claims are published, one or more may actually be correct and everyone will forget the claims that were wrong.
I don’t disagree with the current crop of popular claims, nor do I think they are real. They are just claims that have been neither confirmed nor denied. Even so, the public “generally” believes them.
I have been researching Bluetooth headphones in anticipation of losing the 3.5mm jack.
Lots of good and lots of bad headphones out there.
Key BT specs to look for on the iPhone 7(??), Bluetooth 4.2 or 5, aptX encoding, CSR Support, Low Latency. The list goes on.
Most all BT headphones in this category are able to share their audio signal with a friend via a 3.5mm aux port, which also doubles as an old school analog connection to any legacy devices. So a good multi functional tool to keep you in tunes.
Who doesn’t use Bluetooth!?! My god it’s 2016 and I’ve been using BT earpieces / headphones for at least a decade. Is this really a new concept for people. Does everyone here still use a rotary phone too? Maybe you should fax Apple and complain.
