Apple CEO Tim Cook says the company’s App Store had a blockbuster July.
Cook tweeted Wednesday that Apple saw its “highest-ever monthly billings and money paid to developers” last month.
In Apple’s latest earnings report (fiscal 2016 third quarter ended June 25, 2016), Apple’s quarterly revenue from the App Store set an all-time record as the company’s “Services” segment, which includes the App Store, saw its business grow 19 percent year over year.
July was a record-breaker for the @AppStore! Highest-ever monthly billings and money paid to developers.

MacDailyNews Take: Apple’s App Store is a perpetual motion cash generator.
Just wondering – is anyone else having problems accessing the Search function of the App Store? Or is it just me? I haven’t been able to connect in several days…
I just tried it and it worked fine for me.
Nice headline.. Is there a distribution graph to show how well the ‘weath’ is spread out? Or is it just a small group of actual developers creating paid apps that get the lion’s share?
