Anybody using this software or some other solution to monitor via your Mac’s camera?
No, but I use “Presence” software on my older, unused iphones to turn them into security cameras around the home. Same motion sensor capability plus video is uploaded automatically and email and iOS notifications are also automatic when motion is detected.
I just have a script to auto-answer FaceTime calls that I turn on. Then when I’m out and about, I just FaceTime my iMac and it automatically answers, instant spycam. We use it to make sure our dog is okay when we’re gone for a couple hours. Works well and is free. But it doesn’t alert us if it senses motion, or automatically record. Those are nice features, but if you just want to be able to call in and make sure everything is okay, this method works quite well.
