“The iPhone 6S was unveiled on 9 September, and it’s likely that the iPhone 7 will see a similar launch date next year. We’re going to put our money on 7 September 2016. You heard it here first,” Carly Page reports for The Inquirer.Apple’s iPhones typically go up for pre-order a few days after they are announced, with an in-store release two weeks later.
“Multiple reports and early leaks claim that the iPhone 7 won’t offer many upgrades compared with the iPhone 6S before it,” Page reports. “Analysts, too, are expecting an incremental update and don’t think the iPhone 7 will be able to give Apple’s smartphone business the boost it’s after.”
Page reports, “While a small update is likely on the cards, there’s some chatter than Apple will announce three smartphones this year: the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7 Pro…”

MacDailyNews Take: If so, we’ll take the “Pro” models, please!
Pro all the way.
Looks like a poorly done Photoshop job. Look at the mismatched area of Rosegold around the three connectors for a keyboard on the “iPhone7 Pro” and there is a hint of the same around the bezel bump of the dual lensing for the Pro’s camera. I may be wrong, but I think it’s bogus.
On second examination, the LED flash is larger than the flash on the other models. That would be very strange when such LEDs are a standard size. Photoshop.

Where is the 4″ configuration?
Swimming in conflicting rumors. 🏊 It’s more like treading water actually. 💤
What was the first thing Steve Jobs did at his Second Coming?
Slashed the product line to the minimum.
Cook is doing the exact opposite.
Consumer 1: “You got the new iPhone7a2129z?”
Consumer 2:”No, I had to settle for the iPhone7a2129x.”
Consumer 1: “Man, it must suck to be you…you shoulda at least gotten the iPhone7a2129y.”
I agree with this. And didn’t Steve say that the Twentieth Anniversary Mac summed up everything that was wrong with Apple at the time?
And yet, here we are, talking about Apple holding off a major upgrade because they’re saving it for the symbolically important “tenth anniversary” iPhone. Let’s hope this is just a false press narrative.
I’ll take the 4″ Pro.
Times change Botnik! Apple doesn’t have the visionary leader it use to have but I’ll still buy an iPhone anyday over a horrible interface Android phone.
oh, I will too, just saying Jobs’s overall vision for the company’s product line was always “lean & mean.”
