MacDailyNews Take: If the rumored new MacBook Pro with OLED touchpad offered a version with built-in cellular connectivity, would you be interested?
A glimmer of pro hope? At least its finally mentioned somewhere.
with my iphone and continuity.. Why and how would tgus be any more useful.?
I believe i missunderstood the feature… … I though they wanted to add cellular calling feature on macbook… Rather than cellular data conectivity.
My bad.
Absolutely, I am totally looking for another line of service to overpay for every month!
No kidding.. cellular connected anything in Canada.. ha ha ha.. they take your first born, or a million dollars. whichever comes first..
Nooooo. And, also, it is just coincidence that they all have similar high prices.

Yes!
Without a doubt. Tethering kills battery life and is a pain in the butt. I prefer my iPad with LTE and would like my MacBook to have the same.
Here in Japan where I live I’d definitely want a MacBook with built-in cellular capability. Through an MVNO using the Docomo Network (4G/LTE), 5GB of data is about $15 a month, and up to 10GB costs $25.
I don’t use it on my iPad, only my phone, so why would I want it on a MBP? Or my next iMac?
I’m using wifi/cellular iPad Pro 12.9″ with a Logitech Create keyboard case, with a smart connector. It also has an original unlimited cellular data plan on it. This is the equivalent of the Surface pro in the PC world, but it’s better. It’s an iOS device. And it’s touch screen. And it’s always online. It’s the ultimate connected device.
