“During a session named Networking for the Modern Internet (video requires Safari, or you can look it up in the iOS WWDC app), Apple Distinguished Engineer, Scientist, and Technologist Stuart Cheshire took the stage to explain new networking features in iOS 10 and macOS Sierra,” Iljitsch van Beijnum reports for Ars Technica. “Soon the engineer revealed what developers can do to take full advantage of ECN, IPv6, international text in networking, cellular versus Wi-Fi, and network quality of service.”

I’m glad to see Apple is finally adding QoS. Maybe they’ll bring back SNMP for their routers as well.
Despite the obnoxious number system, if we were all on IPV6 right now, the Internet would be MASSIVELY better! The IPV6 standard has some great features that, if used by ISPs, developers and websites, would make our networking a lot safer, reliable and functional.
