Donald Trump slams Google: It’s a ‘disgrace’ if Google manipulates results to favor Hillary Clinton

“Donald Trump has responded to SourceFed’s allegation that Google manipulated its search recommendations to avoid directing users to negative results about Hillary Clinton,” Allum Bokhari reports for Breitbart.

“In a comment to Business Insider, the presumptive Republican nominee said the following: ‘If this is true, it is a disgrace that Google would do that. Very, very dishonest. They should let it float and allow people [to] see how crooked she really is,'” Bokhari reports. “Earlier today, Breitbart Tech reported on the claims, initially presented in a video from the tech channel SourceFed.”

“SourceFed’s Matt Lieberman demonstrated that Google’s search recommendations for Hillary Clinton did not include commonly searched-for combinations such as ‘Hillary Clinton crime’ and ‘Hillary Clinton indictment,'” Bokhari reports. “By comparison, search recommendations on Bing and Yahoo did show these results.”

“The video went on to draw attention to the links between Google, its CEO Eric Schmidt, Hillary Clinton, and the Obama administration,” Bokhari reports. “In short, the links between Google and the Democrats run deep.”

“WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange claims that Google has been working closely with US presidential hopeful Hilary Clinton’s campaign in efforts to promote the candidate in the race to the White House,” India Ashok reports for The International Business Times. “Speaking from the Ecuadorean embassy in London, via video conference as part of a two-day media event named ‘New Era of Journalism: Farewell to Mainstream,’ he said: ‘Google is directly engaged with Hillary Clinton’s campaign,’ the Sputnik reported.”

“Pointing out that Google’s former CEO Eric Schmidt is now heading the Pentagon’s innovation branch, Assange said: ‘Google is heavily integrated with Washington power, at personal level and at business level… Google which has increasing control over the distribution channels… is intensely allying itself with the US exceptionalism,'” Ashok reports. “Assange is not the only one to have identified a connection between Clinton’s campaign and Google. Behavioural psychologist Dr Robert Epstein said in an interview that Schmidt has set up a little-heard-of start-up called Groundword, the sole purpose of which is ‘to put Clinton in office.'”

MacDailyNews Take: Regardless of the veracity of these claims, the dangers of having one massively dominant online search engine portal should be plainly evident to all.

For those who might dispute that statement because of political party affiliation and/or the specific search terms affected in this specific report, simply imagine the Koch brothers buying and running Google tomorrow.

  1. We all know Google is crooked (see Schmidt ripping off iPhone ideas straight from his seat on Apple’s board). The Clintons have a long history of lying and obfuscation. The powers that be are very interested in having the gravy train continue to roll. They got 8 years more out of Obama who promised “Hope and Change” and delivered neither (well, there were some changes – all all negative).

That they DO NOT WANT TRUMP by any means possible should be enough for any sane U.S taxpayer to vote for TRUMP.

        1. Rather than simply snipe, Derek, you should post the list. If it’s real, it should be published; if it’s not, well, then we should all know that, too.

        2. Derek doesn’t see the obvious. The obvious choice is a non-politician and someone not controlled by political correctness.

I’ve been looking for a non-politician for 40+ years. A country should be run like a business and keep the politics away.

Both parties have been exposed for what they are. Time for us to take our country back from the elite.

        3. Both parties have been exposed for what they are. Time for us to take our country back from the elite.

          TOTAL agreement! However:

A government is not a business. To run the US government exactly like a business would be t0 kill it. That concept has always been a go-to for people who can’t figure out how governments actually succeed in the purpose of serving their citizens.

Having said that, there are elements of business that I would demand be applied to government. How about this favorite that BOTH parties utterly ignore by design…?

          Balance
          The
          Budget.

Q: Has any politician discussed this critical issue so far in the election cycle?

A: Not a single one. Therefore, fire them all! Bring in a new lot of people running for President! Now!

Here’s another aspect of business I’d enjoy seeing applied to government:

You don’t do your job, you get an evaluation on-the-spot by We The People. Make it a national referendum. If you’re a FAIL, “You’re FIRED!” No poliTard puppeteer can interfere, elected or not.

          (Golly, I used a Trumpism).

Enough for today. I’m busy with WWDC stuff.

        4. And paying 29 billion of our Social Secutity investments to the Saudis that caused 9/11 and starting two wars based on a Weapons Of Mass Destruction lie, and causing the WORST DEPRESSION in history, and selling our government to Halliburton, yeah! Obsma did all that! Uh, wait? .. Obama was the one who RESCUED America from all that treason and corruption. But racist liars like you have nothing but lies.

        5. Sorry, botty. But, once again, your political party has backed a loser – worse, a puerile loser who loses his cool when called a loser. THREE chances in a row and your party can’t select a decent candidate. You can bash Obama all you want, but you can only blame yourself and your fellow like-minded and narrow-minded party members.

Botty effectively elected Obama! That is so incredibly hilarious…

        6. I didn’t vote for Mitt The Schitt…you’re just not very bright, Melvin….or McTraitor or Dubya or Horndog Billy.

But I WILL be voting for Donald Trump.
“We will no longer surrender this country and her people to the false song of globalism.” April 27, 2016

        7. So you speak the Republican party line over and over and over again (even though you always deny your party affiliation) and now you admit that you did not vote for Mitt Romney, even though that gave the election to Obama? So you literally helped to elect Obama! Even better!

Despite being quite irritating, you are also occasionally rather amusing. This is one of those rare cases.

        8. I cannot imagine why you would vote for Trump. Perhaps you could provide a brief explanation in your own words (no massive cut-and-paste content from some GOP “news” site, please).

        9. Botty, it appears that you would back a zombie if it claimed to be Republican. Ironically, you are backing Trump…if there ever was someone who deserved the label RINO, it is Trump.

The delicious topping on this cake is that you lose either way. You lose if Hillary wins. And you also lose if Trump wins because, as a Trump backer you will be subject to four interminable years of ridicule and shame (if he is not kicked out of office before the end of his first term). Unfortunately, the rest of us would be screwed along with you…

        10. You walk like a Republican, botty. You quack like a Republican, botty. You are against anything and everything associated with the Democratic party. If you are not a Republican, then just what the heck are you?

You have never accepted that I am an independent, despite the fact that I have supported a wide variety of issues in my posts over the years. Why should I believe the protests of a walking and quacking Republican commercial and Trump supporter who has clearly established his political affiliations in this forum over the years.

If you can’t handle it, then just stop posting politicrap in this forum!

        11. Classic Gish Gallop. Look how long this list is! I must be right!

But everything in the list is either wrong, fabricated, or wildly overstated.

          Logic 101 fail.

        12. Hey ASSWIPE, you’ve been hooging Mac user space for years with your hatred and vitriol.

YOU MANIPULATE THE STAR RATINGS TO SHOW 50% in your favor, so that it appears you have support for your poison…

I’ve seen proo to this by watching them climb form 1 star to 3 in an instant, when you werer down by many votes.

YOU DESERVE TRUMP UP YOUR ASSHOLE FOREVER – BUT GO FORNICATE IN PRIVATE FOR THAT AND LEAVE THIS FORUM FOREVER BEFORE THE SAME FATE THAT MEETS HIM MEETS YOU.

        13. I am no fan of the Obama Administration and there is plenty to be pissed about, but the list you have is a collection of old Republican talking points that have little basis in fact.

Hillary Clinton is a deeply flawed candidate, I would call her a grifter, but the GOP has shown it’s colors by nominating a 1%er, race baiter who has been in Bankruptcy Court so often he probably has a reserved parking space. The GOP was once a great party but lost it’s way many many years ago. It is well past time for it to join the Federalists, Know-Nothings, Whigs and others in the dustbin of history.

As to Google search, it sucks like a Dyson. However, I am less than impressed by DDG or Bing.

    1. The failure was obstruction by Republican led congress that made a decision to go with their political strategy regardless of the cost to America. The fact you believe that crap doesn’t say too much for your intelligence. The facts betray your BS. I am not fan of Mr. Obama nor of Hillary Clinton, but your particular brand of BS is insulting to anyone capable of intelligent thought.

        1. You only know one tune, botty. Sad…

I am not a Hillary fan at all. I think the fact that she provided the Republicans with viable ammunition shows some lapses in judgment. But her Republican opponent is going to be Trump. Damn, that is no choice at all! I have watched and despised that loud-mouthed Trump idiot for decades and I cannot imagine him as POTUS. It would be like DUBYA squared – a complete and utter disaster. Few people would be worse.

    2. “That they DO NOT WANT TRUMP by any means possible should be enough for any sane U.S taxpayer to vote for TRUMP.”

Extremely poor reasoning. They don’t want ebola, either. So, what? We should want ebola? Jeez.

  2. In the Netflix series, House of Cards, the owner of a search engine company helps the Republican party by manipulating search results.

Both Trump and Clinton are using the media and social media as much as possible. The Republicans and Democrats are both corporate political parties these days, it’s just a question of which corporations will have IOUs to cash in after the election. That is why many corporations donate to both.

    1. In House of Cards, the CEO of the fictional search company Pollyhop is helping the Republican campaign by targeting users.

It’s unclear from this video exactly what’s going on. If it’s manipulation, and I’d have to see a lot more data to believe that it is, it could be coming from outside of Google as well as from outside the Clinton campaign or any contracted organizations.

        1. “You do know that House of Cards is a fictional tv show?”

Yes, perhaps I gave away the answer to your question in the very first sentence of my comment… “In House of Cards, the CEO of the fictional search company Pollyhop…”. Obviously, HoC is fictional, and I was being ridiculously redundant in labeling Pollyhop as fictional. Yet, you still had to ask, didn’t you?

What does House of Cards being fictional have to do with anything anyway?

Congratulations… your comment will be the stupidest comment I will have read all week. This is the week of WWDC and E3, so that’s quite an achievement.

  3. Why would you expect anything less from the man that sat on the Apple Board of Directors while Jobs was developing the iPhone and developed Android to compete with Apple? Eric Schimidt and Hillary are cut from the same dishonest cloth.

  4. Allegation has been debunked already. What a surprise that Turmp wouldn’t care and uses it as a nonsensical point.

Not surprising that RWNJs here answer the Trump dog whistle.

      1. I think he’s referring to the fact that if you type in “Donald Trump crim” you don’t get anything related to anything negative either. You get criminal justice and Crimea. However, typing in “Hilary crim” will indeed get you an auto fill of “criminal”.

  5. Hillary Clinton is the ESTABLISHMENT’S CHOICE to continue the STATUS QUO (rape the country while it lasts for benefit of the builderberg class, of which the Clintons and Schmidt are major players).

Hillary Clinton is a liar. Bill Clinton is a liar. Eric Schmidt is a liar. Perfect bedfellows.

  6. Been using Duck Duck Go for years because Google and Microsoft are both creepy.

Anyone who would vote for president based on Internet searches is an idiot. They base their results on popularity rather than credibility, with the goal being to sell ads, not inform anyone.

  7. Google didn’t do any such thing. You can prove it to yourself.
No matter what you do, Google avoids searches that present the subject in a negative light. This works if it’s Hillary Clinton or Bill Cosby or Brock The Rapist.

At first I tried searching for Hillary Indictment on Google vs. Bing. Bing immediately assumes I’m talking about indictment. Google looks for everything it can think of starting with ind.

I tried a couple more tests like that and got similar results. So at first I thought it was true. Then I decided to try it on someone liberals hate. Donald Trump.

It does the same thing. If I try it on Bill Cosby, the same thing.

I think Google is being slandered for being courteous in this case. You can test the results for yourself.

    1. DON’T COME AROUND HERE WITH YOUR “TRUTH” and “FACTS”!! 🙂

I really doesn’t see where it’s going to matter. Trump is likely going to solidly beat Clinton in the general election and there’s not much a search engine can do to prevent that.

      1. Not true. Anyone can publish their tax returns anytime they want. He simply uses it to hide embarrassing or potentially questionable financial issues he has to report to get lower tax rates. This is not news.

        1. He can release them anytime he wants to but won’t because they will show he either lied on his FEC filings or is filing fraudulent tax returns.

    1. It wasn’t MDN who made Google the default search engine. Apple did. It wasn’t MDN who got into politics, it was Google. Don’t blame MDN because there is ZERO enthusiasm for your candidate or because your president sucked or because the crooked media establishemnet is trying to install your crooked establishment candidate.

      1. I don’t know who turns me on more.
        Fist 2016,
        Botty,
        or the Supreme Commander, MDN.
What say we all have a foursome? I get first dibs on MDN.
        I hate sloppy seconds…

    1. You’re mistaken, this is the most important election since 1860…why do you think the establishment Republicans, that is, The Bush Crime Syndicate, despise Donald Trump? You have many times posted that there is no difference between the two parties, and you are right, until now. This election is about American sovereignty vs globalist ambition to lose our country to a North American Union.

      Trump/Sessions’16.

      1. Good points. Trump is the first viable independent candidate we’ve had in a century. Our system is in the stranglehold of two parties so he had to run as a Republican. Independent doesn’t mean liberal/moderate/squish, it means INDEPENDENT of the political parties. Trump’s views are in stark contrast to the GOP establishment. The difference between Trump and Clinton will be glaring as the election nears. Assuming Trump survives, he’ll crush Hillary in a landslide.

        1. The perfect scenario would be Trump wins as a Republican, but in his second term run, he dumps the Republican Party and creates a tviable, electable third party. That would drive a stake through both the Clinton Crime Syndicate and the Bush Crime Syndicate and globalism in general in the United States.

PS: Good luck to the patriot limeys on their upcoming Brexit vote…tell the EU to eat shït and die. Then France needs to get to work on a Frexit referendum.

        2. Looking very closely, I’d have to estimate that the Bush Crime Syndicate is on it’s death bed right now given it’s poor performance this year. If Hillary loses in November, so will the Clinton Syndicate! Hillary has gone “all in” on this election, her last chance. Thank God if she loses because she causes me more disgust when I see her than any of the trashly dressed idiots at Walmart.

But, globalism regardless of who dies is still on track and will be on track until we remove its supporters from the Congress and silence and disinvest in the rich and huge corporations that support this idea.

        3. That’s possible, he’ll have to decide whether the brand is worth saving or if something new needs to be created. He needs to do a lot of work getting his supporters into the GOP at the local and state level first. A new party would have to be created out of the framework of the old one.

  8. Hypothesis0: Google hides ‘bad” words about only Hillary Clinton
H1: Google hides “bad” words about all candidates (people)
Test: Does Google autocomplete only for Hillary?
    1. “henry Kissinger wa…”(G=was, Bing =war criminal)
    2. “Mark Sanford…” (G=wife, Bing =scandal)
    3. “Donald Trump ra…(G=rally, Bing = racist)
    4. “Richard Nixon cri.. (G=crisis, Bing = crime)

H0 is rejected. Likely explanation is that google hides “bad” words about all people.

  9. SourceFed’s video seems legitimate as does Google’s response. Google automatically filtering out offensive phrases than Bing and Yahoo is totally believable. Google’s software is more sophisticated than Bing and Yahoo, no surprise here.
The fact (or opinion) that Donald Trump and his followers are more offensive than Hillary and her followers, that’s also very believable.
    More to filter out.
