One major bonus with the Golden State Warriors’ pending early exit from the NBA Playoffs is that we won’t have to be subjected to a parade of Apple Inc. middle management sycophants saying “Go, Dubs!” during their WWDC presentations in order to ass-kiss Apple’s C-level Golden State fans.
[UPDATE: May 31, 9:01am PDT: The National Fixed Basketball League strikes again.!
(Curry must be promoted as the face of the NBA, so his team makes the finals no matter what – the refs will see to that. NBA fans make professional wrestling fans look like sophisticates who are firmly grounded in reality.)
So, lucky us, now we have to be subjected to yet another a parade of Apple Inc. middle management sycophants saying “Go, Dubs!” during their WWDC presentations in order to ass-kiss Apple’s C-level Golden State fans.]

Wow! So much unimportant whining packed into such a short post”
…said the unimportant whiner.
“…said the unimportant whiner” said the self-important schmuck.
Love it!
😆
WWDC 2015 Observation from Dwayne Phillips, Medium, June 9, 2015: “Everyone at Apple is a huge Golden State Warriors basketball fan. Funny, I don’t recall any mentions of that team in any of the past Apple big events. Either I missed those mentions or the Apple folks are phoney jump-on-the-bandwagon types.”
Go Sharks!
This is really dumb. just saying.
Go OKC!
(Brought to you by Carl’s Jr.)
Yes, that was ridiculous last WWDC. Hopefully, Apple brass puts an end to that sort of stuff this year.
Oh my god! Oh my god! Not every single word coming out of the mouths of Apple management pleases every single person on the planet! What a disaster!
That’s way too much truth in a single sentence for some people, it seems.
Where’s the “sycophant” call-out for any other A-list fans at Oracle arena? The disparity in critical scrutiny of all things Apple has got ridiculously unbalanced.
I believe the point is that WWDC is no place for such localized, time-specific trivialities. WWDC has a worldwide audience and the presentations should be timeless, not sullied with banalities. Jobs would have never allowed it.
I totally disagree. Small passionate anecdotes about local teams humanize the experience (and the presenters).
All you grumpies whining because an Apple rep didn’t mention YOUR team can go to a local Apple Store and sports talk up your local Genius; I’m sure they’ll make you feel better about yourself (and any Apple product you may have with you)!
73 wins. What a joke. GS isn’t qualified to carry MJ’s and the 1995–96 Bulls’ jock straps.
Who, what, where? Is this something about sports? Any Surface Pros on the sidelines?
“….and the Thunder rolls.
we’re comin’ for ya’, LeBron.
dang, didn’t happen…that Curry is somethin’ else, congratulations to the Golden Warriors.
Hey, Eddy Cue, suck it! How about getting some contracts inked for Apple TV bundles?
I will say that I’ve gotten tired of seeing Eddie Cue appear at games, other flashy events, hearing about his love of Ferrari’s…etc. I’m sure he is a talented guy, but he seems so caught up in the glitz. I’d like to see him put his nose to the grindstone a bit more…not saying he doesn’t work hard, but his image doesn’t suggest so.
When Steve was around, he could call the execs of the music and entertainment industry, and get them to make the deal he wanted through the force of his personality, genius, and achievements. It seems like with Eddie Cue his main way of trying to cut deals is just to schmooze with the big players on the expense account. And he doesn’t always seem to get very far doing so.
So I do get the point of this post.
Let’s go Thunder!
Spoke too soon, dipstick.
We should all be happy the Clippers didn’t make the finals so we don’t have to look at Ballmers’s fat ass yucking it up behind the basket.
As i stated on this original post. This is really, really stupid. More of a Facebook post than an actual story. Who cares if they talk about Dubs? Who cares if they talk about John Denver’s rocky mountain high, and how it transformed a generation of people to blah blah blah. Only care about what they announce and how they are supporting developers.
OKC is not a TEAM like GSW. The warriors trust each other and have the heart of a champion. OKC still reverts to hero ball when it matters. And if you watched game 7 one can hardly blame the refs. I doubt OKC will ever win a chip with chokebrook running point. Great physical talent but low basketball IQ.
He has MVP talent but a WTF head.
Well, as we all know, Golden State, beating OKC, formerly of Seattle, is akin to Apple beating Microsoft.
Who is this punk bitch that is allowed to write articles on MacDailyNews… and he got it wrong the first time only to write another one with strike-though? Give this Lucas Tamborelli twink some ritalin and a blanky.. then a nap.
While we’re at it, let’s mention that a 24 year old kid from Grass Valley, CA won the Indianapolis 500 on his first try…sputtering across the finish line on an empty fuel tank. Way 2 go Alexander Rossi!
