BREAKING NEWS if you heat certain glass with a lighter it becomes fragile depending on how that glass was tempered!!!
Sigh, people are stupid… heating glass with fire will affect it’s durability.
The phone bent like it was made of butter. I doubt providing a few seconds of heat would suddently turn the thing into Jello. This test proves that it will bend from the subtle force of a fart.

When it comes to Apple phones, everyone and their mother, cares. This is why Apple get’s all the hoopla. It’s not that Apple makes something wrong, it’s that everyone cares about what they make, more than anything else.

It seems to me that everyone, including you, is missing the REAL POINT. Namely that Samsung can’t help COPYING Apple products! —— even down to their supposed FLAWS that lead to a raft of sensational stories in the media and DRAW EVEN MORE attention to the supposedly flawed products, somehow generating SALES. The FUD seems never to work, instead providing Apple with yet more FREE PUBLICITY.
Of course, that strategy works because the media echo chamber favours anything Apple. Samsung’s next move is to change their name to Appsung. Those reporters are sure to be fooled.
That wasn’t a Samsung phone. It was Google nexus, made by Huawei.
I entirely agree with your first point, that Samsung can’t help but ripoff Apple. I’m extremely confused as to why a supposedly open and democratic society in S. Korea has a company that is entirely typical of a communist / dire socialist society, as if there is a disincentive regarding creativity. Samsung R&D can’t think for themselves? Is this cultural infection from China and N. Korea? It certainly is the opposite of Japan. But Japan tends to think of S. Korea as a sort of ghetto on the other side of the tracks. Hmm. Maybe that’s part of the problem. I’m not close enough to comprehend.
As for the rest of your comments: Interesting! At first I wanted to disagree that “the media echo chamber favours anything Apple” because that’s certainly not the case from Wallnut Street analcyst dummies. But outside of that funny farm, I expect you’re correct!
I keep hoping that something or other will give Samsung an iron boot up the arse to force them into real, active creativity. It could happen! 😉 I always welcome real competition with Apple.
