Apple today releases iOS 9.1 which includes new features, improvements and bug fixes, including:
• Live Photos now intelligently senses when you raise or lower your iPhone, so that Live Photos will automatically not record these movements
• Over 150 new emoji characters with full support for Unicode 7.0 and 8.0 emojis
• Improved stability including CarPlay, Music, Photos, Safari, and Search
• Improved performance while in Multitasking UI
• Fixes an issue that could cause Calendar to become unresponsive in Month view
• Fixes an issue that prevented Game Center from launching for some users
• Resolves an issue that zoomed the content of some apps
• Resolves an issue that could cause an incorrect unread mail count for POP mail accounts
• Fixes an issue that prevented users from removing recent contacts from new mail or messages
• Fixes an issue that caused some messages to not appear in Mail search results
• Resolves an issue that left a gray bar in the body of an Audio Message
• Fixes an issue that caused activation errors on some carriers
• Fixes an issue that prevented some apps from updating from the App Store

I trusted the wifi update on my iPhone 6 Plus and lost. The update stalled midstream and wound up hosing everything that was on it. Restoring from update in iTunes failed to restore all except a handful of the apps that were on it. 😫😱😰😡
Wifi update worked quickly and flawlessly on the iPad Air 2.😃

How about the gray bar and “0:00” that covers a regular text message box? That’s the issue I’ve seen. It is like it wants you to send an audio message even when you are just typing text.
Finished updating all of it. No problems at all. Even with my old MacBook Pro and iPads. 😀
Apple, how about letting us TURN OFF Game Center.
hopefully this will fix the sms message notification bug where it only shows the senders number and not their contact name.
Is anyone else have a issue with the phone being in landscape when they 1st unlock it? Then if swipe over a page or open a app, it’ll turn The screen back to portrait mode? Man that’s driving me nuts. I hope I’m not the only one but more importantly I hope it’s fix with this update.
Anyone else experiencing serious battery drain on iPhone 6 after updating? I have charged my phone 3 times today and already down to 20%. That would be 3 cycles in 10hours with not much more than listening to music… Man o man
Thumbs up for the noticeable sound improvement when using Bongiovi DPS app with my iPod touch gen 5. Salute to Hair Force One and his team. I’ll stick with IOS 9.1.
