Today is the 60th anniversary of Steve Jobs’ birth

“Today marks what would have been Steve Jobs’ 60th birthday,” The Irish Examiner reports.

“Jobs was pivotal to a host of industries, and has been credited with revolutionising not only the computer, phone and tablet industries, but also music through iTunes, and even film through another company he co-founded; Pixar,” The Irish Examiner reports. “So, what sort of world would we be living in if the adopted son of Paul and Clara Jobs had never existed?”

“No Apple means no Macintosh, iMac, iPod, iTunes, iPhone or iPad,” The Irish Examiner reports. “The modern idea of personal computer design was arguably triggered by Jobs’ insistence on perfection. Without it, the device you’re reading this on would look so very different.”
