updated. i can make phone calls and my thumb unlocks the phone
Do you have an iphone 6?
Those issues you mentioned were only applicable to the 6…
yes i have an iPhone 6
just updated works fine
Just updated my iPhone 6. Took about 20 minutes. Working fine so far.
Uhhh – that was ten minutes
Updated it no problems here
Better be right.
This defecation hitting the oscillating device better to be right to quote “breeze”.
We expect amateur hour from Android and Micro$oft on their releases. Certainly not Apple.
No Comment (yet)
I’ve been running beta’s for months now I’ll jump….installing now on 4S.
Just installed on my 4S. Also updating apps left and right.
So far, so good.
4S?!?
How is the 4s running with ios8? Is it ok to upgrade?
Yes please tell us how your 4S is running. Performance hits?
Updating iPad air and ipad mini…….
no problems…..
iPhone 6 is NOT going to be updated until another update comes out since I just got iOS 8.0.0 re-installed yesterday…….
Lets get Mikey to try it……….yeah…..he’ll eat anything…….oh sorry wrong commercial, wrong decade……..
lol – Mikey. Loved that little dude. I guess I can guess Bill’s age within a decade. 🙂
Actually, the commercial said, “He won’t eat it. He hates everything.” Then he ate it and liked it. But 95.623% of people misquote it as “Mikey will eat anything.”
And 87.4% of statistics are made up.
Which makes no sense but that’s how I remembered it too! If he likes everything then who cares if he likes Life.. d’uh..
Watched it on youtube recently because my 18 mo old son is a Mikey and we were eating Life for breakfast. Funny thing, it sounds like Dick Cavett’s voice on the commercial!
Fsck it, I’m doing it right now. No way Apple makes that mistake again. I still got faith in you, Cupertino. Don’t let me down.
Just installed 8.03 OTA And survived!
Tested MDA and it still crashes. 😒
The MDN app won’t work till MDN fixes their app.
They are also taking the opportunity to make some changes. Since you can still get MDN via Safari and I’m assuming the app budget isn’t that big, (it’s a free app and I doubt they have programers on staff) that sounds like a good decision to me.
I gave up on the MDN app years ago. (Fool me once, fool me twice.) Why bother since the web site accessed directly is fine. All I need is an Ad-Blok extension on iOS and I’ll be good.
Lets we forget: the reason for all this was iOS 8 bugs…
What, waiting until Rush gives his approval?
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Superb!!!
Installing right now on my iPod touch test device … almost done.
Just updated AT&T iPhone 6 64 GB unit to 8.0.2. None of the misery of 8.0.1. So far, everything works as expected.
Oh my Gawd!!! This is terrible! It’s a freekin’ catastrophe! The world will end! Children are gonna starve! Whatever will we do???? Run and shout! Quick, don’t just do something! STAND THERE! This is the absolute worst news that could ever be! I can’t stand it!!! Start the presses! Call the cops! No! Say it isn’t so! PLEASE! Where’s the disaster plan? Is there a shelter nearby??? Women and children LAST! FIRE!!! Man the pumps!!! What’s our budget? Double it! No! Quadruple it!
Why? What’s happened? Is there an earthquake? A war?
No, I’m channeling the Samsung marketing department. . . Apple did something right. . .
Lets wait and see if CR is announcing a INDUSTRY LEADING TESTING SUITE for 8.0.2 update. 😜
I’d like to see how well CR fares with reality check testing.
Alright, ladies and gentleman. iPhone 6 on Verizon and I’ve successfully downloaded and applied the update. Connectivity is fine, Touch ID works fine and everything is snappy. As far as I know, you’re cleared for takeoff.
MDN, best comment ever. LMFAO!
8.0.2 worked like a charm for me. I got bit by the 8.0.1 bug but I got it working.
A 24 hour patch fix is actually impressive.
I’d say a ‘Bravo Apple!’ is in order.
A quick, effective response and all is forgiven.
Good point. That Was quick!
If it’s a fix, then it’s under 72 hours and will soon be irrelevant, save to wall street.
If it’s 9 folks complaining about bending iPhones then it’s media gone wild, FUD campaign or any sort of conspiracy theory you want to insert.
The U2 release, yawn already.
It’s all been news for Apple and if (not a big if) the majority of the millions of people are happy then Apple lives up to delivering fantastic products and Tim’s leadership is pretty darn good.
I’m optimistic, heck if it really is 9 people, then the media should take a real long good look at itself.
If it’s not the products it ‘s their factories and taxes. Haters hate.
I just loaded the update and my phone bent!I
Now that’s funny! 😉
My iPhone camera sees around corners now!
My battery now charges to 200% WOW
And the volume control goes to 15!
Wow!
Siri just preemptively answered a question i did not even finish thinking about !-) I will let her drive my car from now on, since she will know what the other drivers are going to do…
Hell, I loaded the update, my phone straightened out, turned to platinum, sprouted diamonds, rainbows glowed from the screen, and Steve Jobs conducted the hosts of Heaven in the Hallelujah Chorus!
Updated my 5s without a hitch. Everything works well. Seems a little snappier.
Everyone should update to 8.0.2. So that iHating Fandroid hit Whoring Media News people can drum up some more FUD to get attention. Then when everything is great and actually better with 8.0.2, they can bend over for a nice swift kick on the…. 😉
Just installed on my 4s. MDN App now just crashes. Some games still won’t load, like, Bejeweled. I guess those will be updated in time. Everything else seems to be working fine.
MDN App has been crashing since 8.0. An update for the app should be in the works, according to a recent MDN post about it.
Yes, but when your job is to criticize others, you should have your own house in order… I love MDN & have reading & posting for YEARS! But this is ridiculous!
Also, why do I get a warming message in my Safari browser on my Macbook Air that it can’t authenticate the site? Really embarrassing!
This is nothing for MDN.. remember they abandoned the app for a very long time.
At least they have mentioned they will be updating it this time..
A friend and I are experiencing a bug that when we answer a call on the headset, the sound goes through the iPhone instead of the headset. This is not expected behavior and did not happen in previous versions of iOS.
Has this bug been fixed?
All Good on the iPhone 6 Plus! 12 mins to install
Okay, now that Apple has fixed their software, how about an MDN app that doesn’t crash with iOS 8????
I’m with MDN on this one. My iOS devices are too important to my work and travel to be exposed to a maybe it works update.
I’m good right now with 8.0 and will wait until I get back home Monday.
