“Apple Inc.’s suppliers have started manufacturing new iPads, according to people with knowledge of the matter, as the company works to reinvigorate sales of the tablet computers after two straight quarters of declines,” Tim Culpan and Peter Burrows report for Bloomberg. “Mass production of a full-sized iPad with a 9.7-inch screen is already under way, with an unveiling projected for the end of this quarter or early next, said two of the people, who asked not to be identified because the details aren’t public. A new version of the 7.9-inch iPad mini is also entering production and will probably be available by the end of the year, they said.”
“Output of the larger iPad may be restricted by manufacturing complications related to the use of a new anti-reflection coating, which Apple plans to add to the device to make the display easier to read, said one of the people,” Culpan and Burrows report. “Apple’s largest-ever iPhones went into mass production in July, Bloomberg News reported in June. The iPhones will come in two new models: one with a 4.7-inch screen and another with a 5.5-inch screen, people with knowledge of the plans have said.”

The iPhone 6 is basically settled. Let’s start talking about the new iPads. Ah, the cycle of the rumor mill.
Agreed – but let’s start talking about the iPhone 7!
Well, we would, but unnamed sources mentioned by employees of a company which wishes to remain anonymous have suggested the iPhone 7 may still be delayed due to lacking design issues.
Upon reflection, there appear to be no glaring errors in this story.
Weapons of mass disruption.
WHAT! NO IWATCH RUMORS!
That was yesterday, DPR !
The new anti-reflexion displays are sure to attract the vampire demographic, which are legion. Well done, Apple!
iWatch-out
AAPL holders better get ready for the jackpot payout.
Get your coin buckets ready for the deluge!
I keep a string of garlic to keep the “vampire demographic” out of my home. It’s worked well over the years.
Yeah but it’s going to hurt the drama queen demographic. Mind you, I’m sure there will be a mirror app for that.
Have a good one.
Sounds like it was narrated by Robin Williams.
R.I.P.
Ads like these are the reason why Apple should not dump TBWA.
Every time apple rolls out the next iPhone / iPad this bullshit gets trotted out by ” according to people with knowledge of the matter “.
Are these people so stupid that they forget that last time they were wrong as they will be this year.
On reflection, I guess they are.
When do I get my 256GB iPad? (No, this isn’t Woz …)
Ooh, want. I love my iPad mini, but trying to use it flat on a table in a restaurant can be a pain, because it reflects the ceiling lights.
