“The first walls around Apple’s Campus 2 have begun to take shape, as noted by KCBS reporter Ron Cervi, in a tweet today,” Michael Steeber reports for 9to5Mac.
“Previously, more photos from KCBS showed the site’s considerable excavation under way, and earlier photos from March detailed the demolition work of the former HP campus on the site, which was almost complete at that time,” Steeber reports. “Today Apple also permanently closed off Pruneridge Avenue for construction, a road that runs directly through the Campus site”
Steeber reports, “We’ve collected more aerial shots and photos of the campus taking shape below.”
Apples new HQ is HUGE! The spaceship itself could hold AT&T Park. #sky1hightechtour http://t.co/2NQo5XzWpW pic.twitter.com/cYKAqCqXTJ

Sweet!!
I wonder if those people Steve Jobs talked about at the city council where he said Apple tried to buy them out but they wouldn’t budge have now come to regret that decision as their brains emulsify to the backing up dump truck’s warning horn of “BEEEEP-BEEEEP-BEEEEP-BEEEEP-BEEEEP-BEEEEP-BEEEEP”?!? : )
Now that’s a really big crop circle !!
You bring up a good point… a satellite photo of this would be pretty cool.
The Death Star of tech obliterating all competition.
It’s gonna be sooooo cool!!!
It would be cool if they built a running track on the roof. Looks
like it would be about 1.5 miles per lap! Keep those coders from getting too sedentary.
Who named the avenue Pruneridge? That avenue seriously needs a end of life.
Pruneridge had to go.
It was actually right on the edge of having to go.
Thatsa some spicy meatballah! I hope they put in secret subterranean tunnels and all manner of hidden access fun.
It is going to be extraordinary for the best run company in the world.
That’s a $5 billion hole in the ground — it’s costing Apple more per square foot than purchasing Manhattan office space. Absolute waste of shareholder money that should instead be spend getting new hardware out the door.
Yes, because the Apple engineers and other employees are all involved in building the campus instead of innovating new products. You nailed it once again.
Absolutely to dickheads its always gotta be one or the other they having no concept whatsoever of job allocation. Fact is having all those people on one site can only help them work better together and in a great atmosphere for creativity.
100 offices dotted around Manhattan on the other hand…
False dichotomy much? And I’m pretty sure they’re going to fill the “hole in the ground” with, ya know, a building n’ stuff.
You are a fool, just like the other fools who wrongly predicted that the apple stores will be doomed to failure
Theres always got to be one miserable bastard or wind up merchant take your pick
Now this is a spaceship http://twitpic.com/e5xcxa
Too lazy to look it up, but I wonder how this compares (size wise) with the Pentagon.
