Apple updates WWDC app for 2014 with iOS 7 design

“Apple has updated its WWDC app for this year’s developer conference in San Francisco, with the app confirming that WWDC will kick off with the usual keynote address scheduled from 10 AM to noon Pacific Time on Monday, June 2,” Kelly Hodgkins reports for MacRumors.

“Unlike last year’s update that brought new features such as video integration,” Hodgkins reports, “today’s update appears to include no significant feature additions, although it does include a new orange theme and a new look more consistent with Apple’s iOS 7 design language.”

Hodgkins reports, “Apple’s WWDC app is available free of charge from the App Store.”

  1. Just because you are disgruntled about iOS 7 icons and such does not mean that people associated with this forum have to express your discontent on every article referencing iOS 7 (and many that do not).

It is very clear that there is a subset of people who do not like iOS 7. Similarly, there are groups who do not like Tim Cook or large phones or small phones or whatever… Making your feeling known on occasion is OK. Griping incessantly is not. As far as I can tell, iOS 7 has not changed one iota as a result of all of this griping. There has to be a more productive way to present your concerns to Apple.

  2. Just because you are happy with Hello Kitty does not mean that we all have to go along.
iOS 7 IS as fugly an interface as you can get. Heck, W8 now looks clean and clutter free. The ONLY reason I have it on my iPhone is I did not know there was no going back. Apple conveniently neglected to mention that while I was trying my best to give the UI a fair shot.
Now I’m stuck with a Japanese teenage girl’s phone UI that is only marginally better than ‘android’.
I suspect there are many people who feel the same way, (the recent ACSI data is a good indicator…) and yes, I have sent Apple feedback, dozens of times.
