The suits allege that Apple infringes three patents owned by OpenTV and Nagravision and seek, among other relief, to enjoin Apple from further infringement. The suits identify Apple’s infringing products and services as including iOS mobile devices (iPhone, iPad, and iPod), Apple TV, App Store, and OS X-based personal computers.

Looks like this is the new way of doing press releases: attach a lawsuit against Apple somewhere in the middle of all the hyperbole.
They make the conditional access cards for satellite tv. They work behind the scenes. Dish uses Nagravision.
This suit is pretty much BS. I bet it’s a Samsung/Google ploy.

Sounds fishy to me.

Apple’s stuff can’t do any of that (by itself), so what are they suing for? Maybe they are getting the jump on the next Apple TV.
