Apple today released iOS 7.1.1.
iOS 7.1.1 contains improvements, bug fixes and security updates, including:
• Further improvements to Touch ID fingerprint recognition
• Fixes a bug that could impact keyboard responsiveness
• Fixes an issue when using Bluetooth keyboards with VoiceOver enabled

iOS 7.1.1 is available via Software Update on all iOS devices (via iTunes or Over-The-Air).
Apple today also released iOS 6.1.1 (Build 11D201c) for Apple TV 2G and 3G.

This update adds back the waterproofing we lost in iOS 7.1.0
I am downloading it now but the iPhone 5S already feels lighter and thinner and bigger plus it get 5 more miles to the gallon.
I am sure that if you will put the phone face-down on asphalt and stomp on it, the screen will be still as good as new because sapphire crystal has grown over the cover glass. At least, this is what I have heard.

Bluetooth was on by default after the update. Hope this new update helps with better battery on my iPad 3 retina
Bluetooth has been on by default in every 7 I’ve so far seen, including the initial upgrade from 6. Don’t know why, actually, but it’s the first thing I do- turn it off. What we don’t know yet is whether or not the strange battery life/performance issues have been isolated and fixed.
I wouldn’t say Touch ID is instant just yet but it’s close.
Did you keep the previous impressions of the print or created a new set after the update?
Apple shouldn’t release so many software updates and improvements during the lifetime of their products. Doing this is making the Android people feel like they are not invited to the party. So, if you are near a junk buyer please don’t gloat that you have a new gift from Apple. You might cause tears of sadness.
Can someone tell me if they fixed the shift key’s appearance so it looks *different* than the other keys when “pressed?”
Guess it doesn’t matter, ultimately, because I’ll be downloading either way. :/

Will it fix the bug that doesn’t turn off my iPhone screen so I mute my call when it touches my face?
Some folks have lumpy irregular faces and that may act like a finger touch. Some people just simply hold it wrong. (SJ)
The proximity sensor just doesn’t work like it used to with iOS 6.x
I hope they get all of the complaints addressed with iOS 7.x in iOS 8.
I have never had a problem with the prox sensor.
Are you using a case? Some cases cover up the proximity sensor (happened to a friend of mine).
The proximity sensor is probably broken, just return Phone for a new one

Can anyone tell me why a 26.1 MB update requires 1.2 GB of free space to install?
When I plugged the phone it I got a message (during this update) that said my phone had no serial number and it is now being restored or something. This doesn’t look right, I’m concerned about this? Any thoughts I don’t want to lose my data!!!
My music songs have been lost after updating iOS 7.1.1 for iPhone 4
I lost quite a bit of my purchased music too. It’s still in my purchased music in iTunes but it won’t download onto my iPhone. My music is my life. I’m a little frustrated.
My 7.1.1 has downloaded but needs a 4 code before it will install. Help
I was able to download the last update.However, my phone still does not ring if I need to log on. Has anyone this problem? I could use help in knowing how to make my phone ring. Everything is on but it will not ring.
