Piper Jaffray surveyed roughly 7,500 American teens and found that “61% of teens surveyed own an iPhone, up from 55% just three months ago,” Philip Elmer-DeWitt reports for Fortune. “67% expect their next phone to be iPhone. Google Android phones were No. 2 at 24%.”
“60% own a tablet, and 66% of those tablets are iPads (down 2 percentage points from last fall),” P.E.D. reports. “Of the 18% who plan to buy a tablet (or, more likely, ask their parents for one), 66% plan to get an iPad.”
Munster writes: According to our survey of ~7,500 teens across the US, about 6% of teens currently own a smartwatch. We view this number as slightly higher than expected given the relative lack of smartwatches on the market. Additionally, 17% of teens suggested they would purchase an iWatch if Apple were to launch it for $350.
P.E.D. reports, “Based in part on these results, Munster expects Apple to ship 5 million to 10 million iWatches in the first full year of sales.”

Today’s “Millenial” generation is quite possibly, the most spoiled, and entitled generation I have ever seen in my life. It pains me to see this happen. My generation was never this spoiled or bratty. We never asked for the latest expensive piece of junk when I was a teen. If I had a teenbrat, I would give it a cheap Chinese Fragmandroid rip-off.
“Teens would pay $350.00 for an Apple iWatch”…
Teens would pay, or their PARENTS!
Easy for teen to say they’d pay when they don’t have to.
Forgot to add…
Plus it’s no problem for todays teen. If parents won’t fork over the 350 for the iWatch, SUE!
There is precedent…

You sound like someone who grew up in the 2000s…or someone who has no clue. I’d go with both. We actually showed our parents respect back in the 80s and 90s. We didn’t sue over petty things like college money or for not getting the new Wii U, or whatever. Remember, the older generations have more wisdom, and experience than you teenbrats.
I wonder who’s responsible for bringing up teens this way.
“I wonder who’s responsible for bringing up teens this way”
Answer for clueless Concept: The Village.
You sound like someone who thinks they know more then they do… THINKS being the relevant word and apparently you weren’t thinking straight in comprehending my post! I was a teen brat in the late ’70’s early 80’s, not 2000’s. Finished college in ’87 and been out in the ‘real world’ since. Never showed disrespect for parents, did not sue, so we are on the same page. Just too bad you did not understand the point I was making.
Blah, blah, blah, Appollonia.
Learn some history. Every generation has been saying this about the current generation for some time now – maybe always, for all I know. Saw some great quotes from the last few hundred years, all amounting to “young ‘uns, these days!”
Please turn off “whining rant impulse” before posting.
see how you sound, Sean?
“if I had a teenbrat…”
I don’t think you need to worry about that Apollonia, that would require a man to have sex with you.
That’s the point: I don’t want any kids anyway. I’m ChildFree. I also prefer to be single as well. 90 percent of Men are Sexist Pigs, just like you.
nor would any child want your for a mother.
As it should be. They’d probably sue me for bein’ too ol’ skool anyway.
oh, shut up.
Your generation are the parents this generation learned its behavior from.
If I suffer from blue balls, will the iWatch sensor provide a diagnosis?
Do you really need an iWatch to diagnose BBOD?
Too bad Apple is stuck in a deep freeze on the planet Pluto.
Oh, come on. The iWatch is innovative. You act as if we should be in 2004, back when Apple was inventing loads of items. To paraphrase a Michael Jackson producer, “Apple is still innovative, even on their worst days.”
I have yet to see any watch. Or anything really. Except. “3 grams lighter”
Less than $99 for me!
… and 100% of parents explode just at the thought …
I’m all in on Apple, but there is no way I’d pay $350 for watch like that. If it were a TAG or something of the sort…..
