“The president of an online newspaper in South Korea allegedly ordered editors to take down an article about the anti-Samsung film Another Promise, then sent apologetic text messages intended for Samsung executives who had apparently complained about the paper’s coverage,” Casey Newton reports for The Verge. “But the texts from NewDaily Biz’s president, Park Jung-kyu, were accidentally sent to journalists at fellow South Korean publication Pressian, which then published them with names redacted.”

Samsung is a thoroughly despicable outfit. If we ever get to the Soylent Green stage, Samsung will be the cabal churning it out.

Samsung as a corporation engages in business practices that are illegal and unethical. That’s a fact as adjudicated by a Federal court. Extrapolating from that to a nation is to illustrate a kind of behavior that Samsung and others who engage in unethical business practices are positively gleeful to point out – that “Americans are biased” and so American court verdicts are de facto unfair. Don’t help Samsung. Respect the Korean people, while you call their company out on their wrongs.
