‘Harmless’ smoke bomb shuts Apple Store Coquitlam Centre in British Columbia

“Coquitlam Centre security believe pranksters are responsible for a smoke bomb that shut down the Apple store on Boxing Day,” The Province reports.

“Mall officials say the harmless smoke bomb was set off just before 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, as shoppers were taking in Boxing Day sales,” The Province reports. “Store staff quickly ushered customers out before locking down the store. A spokeswoman confirmed staff were working to clear the air out of the store.”

The Province reports, “A tweet from the mall’s official account announced the store was closed for the remainder of the day.”
