“China Mobile Ltd. plans to take preorders for Apple Inc.’s iPhones from Thursday in Shanghai, according to an advertisement on its website, as the world’s largest mobile carrier by subscribers moves closer to launching high-speed fourth-generation mobile services in the country,” Lorraine Luk reports for The Wall Street Journal.
“China Mobile Shanghai’s website, running the ‘4G is here!’ slogan, invited potential customers to preorder the iPhone 5s,” Luk reports. “A quick test to preorder an iPhone 5s didn’t work Monday. A phone call to a China Mobile customer representative confirmed that customers can preorder iPhones from the site starting Thursday. ‘Customers can begin to preorder for our new 4G services from Dec. 12 through the company’s website and some dedicated branches in Shanghai. But we will only start providing commercial 4G services after Dec. 18,’ the customer services operator said.”

“A quick test to preorder an iPhone 5s didn’t work Monday.”
Welcome to the Chinese Internet. And China in General. All talk, no action.
How great, just like the United States, oh wait, no you said no action, for a moment there I thought you said no intelligent action.
I dont think the deal is true as wall shit journal always lie.
I read the Wall Street Journal every morning and consider it more reliable than any other news paper. What do you read that is better?
It just always lie about aapl.
SOON, u know how stupid u are to trust WALL SHIT journal.
Knock yourself out reading ‘The Onion’ or listening to faux news like John Stewart. The Wall Street Journal is arguably the most credible newspaper in America. The Washington Post has been shedding left leanings and also ranks highly. NYT is good for Art Reviews if you are a fan of esoteric adjectives. Most of their reporting is PC dogma daily with some notable exceptions for world news, sports and tech.
Really, honestly, truly, for sure this time? There’s not much of a Wall Street reaction today. Half the investors must think it’s a phony story.
The china mobile deal is not only business to business , it is also political to political .
By looking at the face of USA Vice President when he visited china , u know china won’t send this gift to America.
Nobody seems to talk about what will happen to aapl if the deal isn’t inked .
The so-called PRE ORDER website says “The investigation has ended, thank you to participate!”
It is obviously a questionaire , not a pre order .
What a joke.
Prepare to sell a daily hard dive of AAPL
UPDATE: A China Mobile spokesman told CNN’s Beijing bureau Tuesday that there was no deal yet with Apple (AAPL) and that the Suzhou site was not “official.” He left open the possibility that it was some kind of test or experiment.
DUMP ALL OF YOUR AAPL ASAP before it is too late.
AAPL is facing a 7% dive !!!!
