“Well-known entertainment personality and producer Ryan Seacrest said he had invested in a startup, which he also co-founded, that makes a keyboard accessory for the Apple iPhone,” Kara Swisher reports for AllThingsD.
“The Typo Keyboard will makes its debut at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas at the beginning of 2014,” Swisher reports. “While the company declined to discuss funding, sources said that Seacrest and his co-founder have invested over $1 million.”
Swisher reports, “It took two years of development to get to the Typo, which seems to clip onto the smartphone like a protective case (I have not tried it, as yet — though I type just fine on a virtual keyboard).”

MacDailyNews Take: Yeah, um, where’d my iPhone’s Touch ID go? Oops.
[Thanks to MacDailyNews Reader “Dan K.” for the heads up.]
And when they change the shape of the next iPhone, this will work how?
I couldn’t quite think of what it reminded me of, then it hit me. It’s a neckbeard on an iphone, and just as classy as one on a nerd.
I hate touchscreens (love my 4s though I curse at the touch screen). I wish Apple would make a blackberry like phone with a sliding display that slides straight up (Blackberry had a phone like this once) and a keyboard similar to blackberry’s. Touch screen suck.
Soon every Kardasian will be sporting and talking about this rubbish.
Seacrest: you sir, are an idiot.
