“It looks like there is going to be one more build of Apple’s new mobile software before the company releases iOS 7.1,” Jonathan S. Geller reports for BGR.
“According to our sources, Apple has seeded iOS 7.0.3 to employees and partners for final testing,” Geller reports. “We’re not sure exactly when the new software will be released to the public, but we believe it will be sometime next week.”

Hopefully it’ll fix whatever’s going on with iMessage.
Try this…
Turn off iMessage
Reset your network settings
Turn iMessage back on
That seems to have fixed it on my phone as well as for some others who have had the same problem lately.
I’ve tried that, and a few other methods. It works for a short while, but then refuses to send to certain of my iMessage contacts a few hours later.
Thank you, though, I appreciate the advice!
Fixed mine!
Tried that method. It works for about 24 hours and then the issue comes back.
I fixed mine by doing a shutdown/restart of my phone. But it was weird, imessages worked on my local network but not out to friends/contacts
It’s good to shut down then restart any updated mobile device to clear out the remaining cobwebs. My iOS 7 upgraded iPad 3 was not displaying my startup screen right until I rebooted.
Is there some way to downgrade iPhone & iPad to iOS 6? iOS 7 is such a disappointment. It takes more steps to get things done in iOS 7 than iOS 6 – there’s so much unnecessary guff that it’s actually irritating to use.
Cook & Ive are hellbent on destroying the Jobs legacy that I want to get off the Play-school bus now.
That would be Playskool, Hoss.
Simple. Re-instal the last backup you did in iTunes just before upgrading to iOS 7.
You did backup before upgrading, didn’t you?
Were it to be so easy it would leave a smile on my face. No, I’m afraid the iOS 7 upgrade process is a one way street. Apple has refused to give fresh certification to iOS 6 so restoring from a backup is a no go option. I do backups religiously before upgrading so backing up is not the issue here. It’s almost as if Apple is forcing us to share in the misery of iOS 7 so it can boast of iOS adoption numbers when in truth there are many unhappy iOS 7 upgraders like me who can’t go back to iOS 6.
yes. Absolutely. I downgraded my iPad to iOS 6- just until the wallpaper matter is resloved. Type download iOS 6 in your browser search. Plenty of sites have it. Once downloaded, go to iTunes, connect your device and at the sane time you click restore, hold the option key. From the menu that pops up, select the iwnloaded file.
Typo catch: ‘downloaded file’. Select it, and you’ll be back to 6. Worked fine for me.
Jeez — lighten up dude. This is a .0 release. If there are issues, they’ll be ironed out. Just like in every Apple OS. And no one at Apple is destroying anything. Personally, I love the new OS and feel like I’ve gotten a brand new phone. YMMV.
But please take the rhetoric down a notch. Where do you think we are? Congress?
Nope. No way to go back. Learn from this. Next time they release a new .0 iOS or OSX you should chill out, sit back, and let everyone else report the bugs back to Apple. By the time it gets to .1 most of the big annoyances are gone. By .2 you’re pretty much always safe to install. Why make your life harder?
Well at least our government is run better than Apple.,, oh wait,…..
I am glad Apple stands behind their products with regular updates. No one is perfect and this is a totally redesigned GUI with new features. Since the launch, I have really grown to like it better than iOS 6. I think it looks better, is easier to use and has functionality that did not exist in iOS6.
Then again, I liked new Maps from the beginning. But, I really like it now and depend on it daily. The 3D views are stunning and the directions are spot on.
Great job, Apple!
Regular updates,.. We are all beta testers. They have to update the software is pushed out half baked. Apple should be paying its users to uncover all the stuff that should be sussed before final sign off, nice going sir jonny.
Hopefully the next update will offer a bit better battery life than the horridly pathetic battery life iOS7 now features.
Hear, hear!

I hope the fix Bluetooth. There are some broken/missing functions…..
I would almost like to purchase an iPhone 5 or 5s except that the iOS 7 sucks and looks just like android and Apple does not allow people who try iOS 7 and hate it , to go back to iOS 6.
Looks like they are so hell bent on erasing Steve Jobs taste that they decided to copy Android.
