Virgin Mobile offers 20% off all iPhone models in one day sale

“In a move possibly aimed at clearing inventory ahead of an expected next-generation iPhone launch, Virgin Mobile is offering a 20 percent discount on the iPhone 5 for just one day,” Kevin Bostic reports for AppleInsider.

“Virgin Mobile’s 20 percent off promotion is good only for August 27, 2013,” Bostic reports. “Prepaid customers can get a 16GB iPhone 5, regularly priced at $550, for $439. The 32GB model, normally priced at $650, sells for $519, and the typically $750 64GB model sells for $599.”

Bostic reports, “Virgin is also offering the 8GB iPhone 4 for $280 and the 16GB iPhone 4S for $360.”

  1. Virgin has by far the best plans and offerings for single people, or couples. Their cheapest plan is $35 per month, with unlimited LTE data and text, plus 300 minutes. Amazingly enough, the tax on this plan is ordinary sales tax (and not the exorbitant mobile taxes and fees, which are apparently included in the $35 plan).

More importantly, the iPhones are $100 cheaper with Virgin than with everyone else (including directly from Apple). The basic iPhone 5 can be had for $550. And yesterday’s deal was simply way too amazing to be long lasting.

If Sprint’s LTE (and 3G) coverage isn’t an issue, there is no better deal than this.

For families, there is always T-Mobile, with their ridiculously cheap family offerings.
