Marissa Mayer’s Yahoo passed Google in U.S. Web visitors in July

“For the first time in more than two years, more Americans visited Yahoo’s websites than Google’s, according to comScore Inc.’s Internet traffic data for July,” The Associated Press reports.

“The research firm said Wednesday that Yahoo Inc.’s websites saw 196.6 million unique U.S. visitors last month,” AP reports, “while Google’s sites had 192.3 million.”

“It’s hard to say if July’s figures are a blip or the start of an upward trend for Yahoo” AP reports. “The company is in the midst of a turnaround orchestrated by CEO Marissa Mayer.”

    1. Yahoo has many more places to visit than Google. For example, Yahoo has a massive fantasy sports empire, great news, Flickr, answers, mail, and search. Google has Google search, a weaker news, mail, and YouTube.

    1. The quote of her in the last photo is stunning. Se says she didn’t set out to be at the top companies, that she’s geeky and shy and likes to code and that it jus happened. Wow. Talk about serendipity.

        1. We apologize for the sudden outburst of negativity against trolls. This behavior will not be tolerated and the producers assure you that these ogres have been sacked!

  1. How can the world two most dangerous pirates can win the fight with a beautiful woman sitting on a BIG red ball or wearing a purple dress laying on a bench in a sexy pose??

Those two pirates’ small 4 balls don’t stand a chance!! 🙂

    1. She still has very close friends very high up at Google. It is not like she was fired you know.
And you do know that Google’s Market Cap is more than 10 times Yahoo. Right? Google could buy Yahoo 3 times with just its cash hoard.
