Apple granted 35 patents covering revolutionary MacBook concept, 3D trackpad, mystery icon, and more

“The US Patent and Trademark Office officially published a series of 35 newly granted patents for Apple Inc. today,” Jack Purcher reports for Patently Apple.

“In our summary report we specifically cover a revolutionary MacBook concept patent from Apple which also covers an advanced 3D trackpad for future CAD and/or gaming applications,” Purcher reports. “Apple was also granted three new design patents today covering a never before seen icon.”

  1. Apple has had a few victories in the last month and they’ll win more and lose more. So it’s not all one sided.

    And then there was the court denying “Mirror World” an appeal this week and a new attack by the government on Trolls that Tim Cook was asking for.

    Besides the legal wrangling, it’s always nice to see that Apple’s R&D teams are still hard at work at designing new products and dreaming up new features of one kind or another. .
