    1. So, are you thinking that people that may have the cash to buy something (car, boat, vacation, …) spent a little more to get the best and Android with their e-Readers may not have extra cash and may have had to go cheap again. It could be the place to advertise Food Stamps, government free cheese, pot clubs in Colorado, … So, know your customer and run the ads on the correct devices. Ok. So, how is Google making money with this free Android OS?

  1. I’ve been on a number of flights, domestic and international, lately and have to say these numbers are suspicious. Based on my observations, the non-Apple devices in use on airplanes is somewhere in the vicinity of zero.

    1. I do have to say quite the opposite. I see a lot of non-iPad tablets and large form factor phones being used it when I fly. And I fly a fair amount. Of course I’m quite happy with my third-generation retina iPad. But I don’t believe this article is very accurate.

      1. unless you two are looking over someone’s shoulder to see what they are doing you can’t tell who is logged in. i use my macbook pro, ipad and iphone on an airplane but i don’t ever log in – the prices are exhorbitant. i can wait until i land – nice to be disconnected once in a while.

        1. No,not logged in. Using. The number of people who are using their devices. I see a large percentage of non-Apple tablets and phones being used when I fly. Most are not logged in. I don’t log in, I just use my iPad to watch something I have saved to the hard drive. Or I spend the time deleting emails or straightening out my photos. I see a wide variety of phones and tablets but certainly not the percentage of Apple that the article seems to tout. But as I said, I’m very happy with my third gen iPad retina. It looks great and works flawlessly. My iPhone 4 S? While it works very well as have all my others, I am ready for a larger iPhone. Have been ready for a long time.
