T-Mobile USA iPhone 5 release date: All signs point to mid-April at the latest

“There is good news for those who are waiting for the Apple iPhone 5 to make its arrival to T-Mobile as the CEO of the carrier said that the device will be coming earlier than what was first anticipated,” Dwayne Madden reports for Autoomobile.

“He said that the Apple iPhone 5 could be in T-Mobile stores within the next 3 to 4 months instead of 6 to 9 months,” Madden reports. “If all goes well you should be able to get hold of the device by the spring.”

Madden reports, “Just last week TMoNews said that T-Mobile had told employees there was to be a black out of 4 weeks from the last 2 weeks in March to the first 2 weeks in April. In the past a blackout has meant the release of a new iPhone and so it looks like the blackout at T-Mobile will see the release of the Apple iPhone 5 on the carrier by mid-April latest.”

  1. I have been thinking about buying an unlocked iphone and using it on T-Mobile, probably in the next week or two. Is there any disadvantage to not waiting for the official T-Mobile iphone release?

    1. All of our iPhones are on a T-Mobile family plan and we’re all eligible for upgrades at this point. It’ll be interesting to see whether we can all upgrade to iPhone 5s for free or a small fee.

    2. Yes there is, youd want to wait till tmobile lauches towers to run at full internet access which in my eyes wont be till mid-summer, people have been using the phone on tmobile for years if you wanted just to talk and text its perfect but until then running on edge is the same as using dial up internet youd be faster using wifi feature on phone

    1. Go to the Apple website and download Safari extensions. Get Click2Flash, AdBlock, and Ghostery. They will block all Flash content (double click the window if you want to run it), all ads, and prevent tracking cookies from installing.

  2. I am due for an upgrade by spring, will I be able to upgrade to an I phone for $200 like all the other companies or my only choice will have to be to buy it at full price

    1. Tmobile will be charging full price for the iPhone 5. At the time of purchase, you will be paying a small down payment then you’ll be paying the rest of interest free over the next 20-24 months.

  3. It’s great that T-Mobile now offers the iPhone 5 along with their new plans. I’ve had a few iPhones in the past and am looking forward to getting the new one and trying out the LTE network. I like to watch my live and recorded shows on my current phone while I’m on my way to and from work at DISH, since it takes some time to get there. I use the DISH Anywhere app on my phone to stream shows that I’ve missed, and I think it will be nice to stream as many of my shows as I want on the new iPhone without worrying about hitting a data limit.
