Hard to say.

From all the demos i could find of Maya’s technology it sounds like another Metadata layer to allow tagging documents and controlling workflow.

I’m hoping there is something I’m missing. lol.

Not hardly. This is a product Apple needs internally for their backbone; to blend the lines in the processes for concept to cradle cash-flow — revenue requires rigorous replenishment — and quite frankly there are a few companies out there who are as meticulous about security as they are about their integrity, and they’re getting Apple’s business.

That is solid gold and pretty much a guarantee of success, provided one doesn’t lose sight of what it is that Apple found in them so attractive in the first place. In fact, I’d get it in writing and read it religiously.
