“Apple has yet to reveal what will end up being a ‘black swan’… Yes, if the threat of a long squeeze is realized, it could sail down there without even a tail wind. And while I don’t doubt the margin compression story on Apple, I think they’ll make it up on volume in home computing dominance,” Count Bitcoin writes for Seeking Alpha.
“This Swan could be gray or black, and could take any form for Apple. It could be as simple as Apple TV working,” Bitcoin writes. “Or when 80% of Windows users switch to tablets that operate as capable desktops – bursting with a massive App Ecosystem, as well as luxury suites of Adobe programs for Apple’s legions of writers, designers, artists, and musicians who have galvanized around Apple’s products.”
“Android will continue to gain in mobile, but Apple users stay with Apple with fierce loyalty. Windows users will undoubtedly switch to Apple, and Apple will find itself alone on the coffee table and/or workdesk of virtually every person who uses a computer at home and has to do more than just surf the web. Not to mention the millions of teens using earbuds to relieve their sensory deprivation (Public Education) across the U.S.,” Bitcoin writes. “Sorry Google, but Android devices are not ready to play in the home, not yet. Apple’s home computing dominance has just begun to warm up, and its mobile business, like any complex organism, will fight ruthlessly and tirelessly for survival and eventual dominance.”

so if you dump a “computer” and go all tablet, where do you keep your photos?
http://www.apple.com/icloud/features/
On the tablet …. or online … or physical photo albums … or wherever else you want to put your photos… Is this a trick question?
i’ll just keep my macbook for the photo storage. this cloud thing has monthly payments
FREE 5GB iCloud storage. Ya know. You must got a lot o’ BIG fotos.
You have no idea. Once you have children, you will understand. When each 16MP Raw image is 10-11MB…. you only really have space for 500 shots. Even if you were selective, that will last most parents a couple of years at most…. not to mention video.
What about my iTunes library? 50 GB and growing…
Wow, finally someone this week got.
I’ve always called the iPhone and iPad black swan events. People still don’t really get it yet though.
Off topic here, but I’ve always wanted to jump in and tell you how much I love your name. Big fan of Monk on piano, and I smile everytime I see your name. 😉
+1 I second your points.
Melodious Plunk was great but Bill Evans was the god of jazz piano.
Just my 2¢ 😀
=:~)
A lot of his reasoning is pretty suspect. Not the guy I wanna take investment advice from.
We were having a picnic last night and two black swans came up asking for tidbits. My son scared them off by squeaking a fairy penguin toy he had bought for his daughter. She spent most of the time creating video content on her 5th gen iPod Touch.
This is the new world, in a few well-chosen words.
Finally! Amid the dreck of this week in journalism comes a coherent, well-written article by someone not shilling for a Samdung buck.
Get an external drive for your Apple Airport router. I hang 1.5 terabytes off mine and access it via my iPad.
