I never got it in the past and don’t get it now. Why do people want their photos to have colour distortions and look old?
For the same reason that people paint pictures when it’s so much easier to take a photograph. You may not appreciate the value of artistic expression, but this doesn’t mean that it has no value. On the contrary! The world would be a much less interesting place if more people felt the way you do.

The same is true for cooking. 😉
Not really all that great, especially on an iPad. Only works in iPhone mode, and even at 2x blown-up on an iPad, it only works in portrait (vertical) orientation… Snapseed is a much better app for the iPad, or at least the original version was before it was bought out.
For free it’s a better app that the minimal editing controls in the built-in Photos app and unlike Instagram the pix are saved straight to my phone rather than alien servers.
I used to use Alien Skin on the Mac years ago, so I might get this to play with. It’s free, so what’s to lose?
Anyone looking for a serious photo app should check out 645Pro. Very, very good, but possibly a bit too technical for some…
