You talkin’ to me? Japanese man creates iPhone quick-draw system (with video)

“Sometimes you just need to talk on your iPhone right NOW, and even the tedious task of fetching the device from your pocket or purse is just too big of a delay to handle,” Mike Wehner reports for TUAW.

“If this sounds like you, then you’re going to want to pay very close attention to the following video, as it may change your life forever,” Wehner reports. “The inventive Japanese man in the clip exhibits unbridled ingenuity in creating an iPhone quick-draw system capable of getting your smartphone into your grasp within just fractions of a second.”

Wehner reports, “If the homemade masterpiece looks a bit familiar, it may be due to its similarities to rig used by Robert De Niro’s character in the film Taxi Driver.”

MacDailyNews Take: We laughed out loud more times during this under 2-minute video than we have at SNL since they fired Norm… in 1998.

Quick, guy, whip that iPhone into action and quick Kickstarter on the horn!

    1. If you do not laugh whilst watching this video, then you can safely come to the conclusion that you do have a full deck either! Looking for your marbles thereafter could be the fix that you need.

        1. I think I have found most of my marbles now… My comment was in addition to yours Bob A not against you! But then as you can see, having a full deck sometimes eludes us all sometimes!!

  1. Another trip down Memory Lane for me today. In the 80s I was working for an outfit that developed and sold private telephone systems, and we were able to crack the Japanese market only because our system was fast enough (!) to detect the extremely rapid keypresses of receptionists or other operators transferring incoming calls. Believe me, those users had quick reflexes and could dial a number in milliseconds. Even the homegrown NEC PBX couldn’t handle those speed-typists.

  2. I forgot the name of the movie but it was about a guy who wanted to assassinate someone and he invented a system very similar to this but to draw a gun instead of a cell phone.
