T-Mobile CEO: We currently serve 1.9 million Apple iPhones and are adding 100,000 iPhones every month

“I’m listening in on a live conference happening at the Citi Global Internet, Media and Telecommunications conference in Las Vegas right now where T-Mobile CEO John Legere just… mentioned that the company currently serves 1.9 million iPhone devices and is adding 100k new devices every month,” David Beren reports for TmoNews.

“Mind you, it was back on December 6th that T-Mobile mentioned they were currently serving 1.7 million iPhone devices,” Beren reports. “That’s a 200k jump in 30 days.”

    1. Soon to be home to brand new, unsubsidized iPhones. If they offer monthly financing on new phones then their prices will be comparable to AT&T and Verizon, but when the phone is paid off your monthly bill should drop to about 1/3rd of AT&T and Verizon’s month to month rate. IOW, T-Mobile will offer new phones they way they should have been offered by all carriers from the beginning.

  1. And that’s fine, BUT their MARKETING PROGRAM TO SPIN THEIR NETWORK ‘REFARMING’ to be a 4G nationwide offering for iPhones is a COMPLETE SHAM.

For UNLOCKED IPHONE users in the MAJORITY OF Southern California, THIS ADVERTISING/MARKETING IS A LIE.

I tested it Last week, with the help of T-Mumble technician (person on the towers), and the very best we could get, with LIMITED RANGE FROM THE CELL OR TOWER (approx. 1/2 mi. from the cell) was 11.5 Mbps down, 4.0 Mbps up. That’s to T-Mumble hosted servers…. This cell is spun to serve 35,000 potential ustomers in my area… It may reach 50.

Sorry the rest of you humble iPhone users… Magenta is STILL a joke

  2. And that BLISTERING, 2G EDGE data speed that I get here in Southern California on my brand new iPhone 5… AWESOME… At 115 KBPS DOWNLOAD I’m not sure the hardware can keep up !!! And when sending mail or a document, the 55 KBPS UPLOAD I’m achieving … Mind boggling….
