The Belkin Thunderbolt Express Dock eliminates the need to constantly plug and unplug numerous cable connected peripherals to your MacBook Pro or MacBook Air. It provides ultimate portability and enables users to instantly access multiple desktop devices with one cable. The dock allows users to simultaneously connect up to eight desktop devices, watch movies in Full HD 1080p, transfer volumes of data in seconds, and view online content at gigabit Ethernet speeds with just one cable. How and why do you expend resources continually updating a product which has been announced but never released?
Woulda really love to have this… But not for $300
How about an 8 port, four up, four down pure thunderbolt hub. That is really what is needed.
Thunderbolt must be the most useless port there is in the history of tech. Useless, expensive & a waste of space.
Well, let’s see… Everybody I know plugs their monitor into their Thunderbolt port every day, so we know it’s not useless.
It’s also much smaller than any other similar physical interface, so in fact, it doesn’t wast space, but instead saves it.
It’s superior in performance and capability to essentially every other interface. It essentially enables desktop-class storage and display capabilities on a notebook computer. In fact, there’s really nothing like it.
Unless I missed your sarcasm tag, the only that’s useless and a waste of space was your comment.

Dropping eSATA is a deal breaker for me.
stupid of them to drop esata – it’s been around forever and should not have been what is holding up their compatability– i just hope that they or a competitor comes out with one that has the esata
also – I went on the belkin website for their thunderbolt dock late a few nights ago and was amazed to see that the page had changed.. it was of the dock with a link to buy it and add it to your shopping cart…I was ecstatic til’ I saw that it said “unavailable” under the add to cart button…but at least I know the developers are working on the page and it will be up shortly no doubt.
Would have been beast with the eSata.
