“Late Tuesday night Yahoo! CEO Marissa Mayer, a finalist and runner-up for Time’s 2012 Person of the Year award, visited the 5th Avenue Apple Store in New York City,” Eli Langer reports for CNBC.
“Mayer posted a tweet to Twitter that read: “The 5th Avenue Apple store at 11pm. Wow…” The tweet also included a Flickr photo taken from the stairwell of the store as she headed downstairs,” Langer reports.

She is saying Wow because the store id filled at 11PM – what other store can say that (Wal-Mart on Black Friday?)

Yahoo should drop their ridiculous outdated logo and switch it to just picture of Marissa Mayer.
She should filter and reject the crap that Yahoo Finance allows to pass as journalism or financially competent/credible reporting recently, on Yahoo Finance: Apple news. It only serves to discredit Yahoo Finance’s credibility and standing.
Gosh, whatever she says — if it is right, then it is great, if it is not, then we will forgive her (seriously, I am unarmed before such lady).

Kidding aside, I admire not only is she drop dead gorgeous but has a brain to go with it! Not many like her 🙂
Now if we can only confirm that she’s not crazy then she’d be perfect. Remember Basic Instinct? Catherine Trammel (Sharon Stone) was also gorgeous and had a brain.

I am not sure it you know it but Sharon Stone is an actor and was acting the role of a smart woman. To those who are of average intelligence, that is what they think ‘smart’ acts like.
What do yo mean by “smart acts like” mean? Smart doesn’t act in any one way. Some smart people are adept at acting dumb, which can be really smart in some situations.
Sharont Stone has an outstanding IQ, by the way. So it was not hard for her to play smart woman.
She plays what the director asks for and what the audience thinks a smart person would be like. She is an actor who may be smart. Wikipedia says:

Despite being an extremely attractive woman, she doesn’t have a particularly distinctive look about her, and isn’t really a celeb yet. Plus, NYC is full of attractive women.

That nobody took a picture of this good-looking gal in the Apple Store only lends credence to the argument that Apple fans are fruitcakes.
Personally and professionally I applaud her candor in difficult times. I believe she will raise yahoo up almost from the grave. And among us apple folks would not like that. I give her a complete thumbs up. Marrissa is following the old Japanese philosophy of employee involvement from all I can see via stories on the web. That philosophy works very well if you believe in it. I have practiced that since 1982. And the fruits of success follow it
I should add for all the readers. If you ever have the chance to work for Yahoo take the offer. After all my years in consulting, this CEO is clearly going in the right direction and knows her strengths
