“After two months of limited supply, a pair of analysts wrote Thursday morning that most customers can now walk into an Apple store to buy an iPhone 5,” Dan Gallagher reports for MarketWatch.
“‘Based on our nightly checks and calls to 20 US Apple Stores, we believe the iPhone 5 has finally reached a point where consumers can walk into an Apple Store and walk out with a phone,’ wrote Gene Munster of Piper Jaffray in a report,” Gallagher reports. “Glen Yeung of Citi agreed, noting that the iPhone 5 was ‘widely available’ in 92% of the 50 Apple stores his team surveyed. He said his finding ‘adds to our confidence in the quarter.'”
Gallagher reports, “However, the iPad mini that went on sale earlier this month may be harder to find. Yeung wrote that some ‘yield issues could be resolved by year-end.'”

yesterday they had ipad minis at the store ready to go. WTF is this guy talking about.
It is all a game. All meant to justify the manipulation of the stock price. Constrained mini means that apple may not make as much this Q (however they define as much).
They of course have a caveat. When apple reports numbers, they will say, look we said that they will catch up end of december. It is all baloney.
Constrained means that not all stores have it in stock. Apple doesn’t ship to stores based on a waiting list, so often a store will receive more than what it can sell in a day (or more) while another store is out of stock. Note that there’s a 2 week back order on the website.
Finally, an intelligent observation. Unbiased and honest. Based on facts not conjecture.
I wonder why Apple does not ship to stores based on waiting list demand…wouldn’t that be the logical thing to do?? I suppose that Apple uses online ordering as its waiting list.

Just got the 5 (in white) and gave the wife my 4. It’s a joy to use. Everything about it is better than the 4, even the screen (just amazing how close to the surface everything appears) and the buttons (feel just right).

So much BS. Ordered an iPhone 5 from AT&T on Friday night, got it Monday morning.
Went to the Apple stodre and they had people in line getting them. They had plenty of people in lines waiting to check out with their constrained iPads too.
