Analyst: Apple has solved its iPhone 5 supply issues in time for Christmas demand

“In a note to clients Wednesday, Piper Jaffray’s Gene Munster reports that his nightly checks of supplies at 100 Apple Stores showed significant improvement over the past 10 days,” Philip Elmer-DeWitt reports for Fortune.

“‘We believe,’ [Munster writes], ‘that within the next two weeks that customers will be able to purchase iPhone 5s at Apple Stores same day,'” P.E.D. reports. “Solving the iPhone 5 supply problem before the holidays was critical for Apple. Last year, iPhones accounted for 53 cents of every dollar Apple earned in its December quarter.”
