“A flaw in the latest version of the Android operating system has resulted in the month of December disappearing from an app for storing information about contacts,” BBC News reports.
“The flaw affects the ‘People app,’ which is the default app for keeping contact information on Android devices,” The Beeb reports. “The People app calendar goes from November 2012 straight to January 2013.”
The Beeb reports, “The flaw was reported by an Android news website called Android Police. ‘Christmas is ruined. Santa is dead. At least we’ll save money on buying presents, right?’ wrote Android Police‘s Artem Russakovskii.”

NOthing to see here, keep moving!
Nothing of consequence happens in December anyhow.
Pray for people to stop shooting first and then being upset when someone shoots back.
10000000000000
So, would that be a feature or a bug?
Since fandroids don’t buy anything anyway it’s no loss to the economy to have them skip the most important shopping season.
Only effects a tiny fraction of that fragmented POS system, no real loss either way.
Over 700 rockets fired at Israeli targets and you are praying for Gaza?
You do know the terrorists in Gaza started this BS.
You mean the inmates in Gaza who are having a prison riot?
If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more violence. If the Jews put down their weapons today, there would be no more Israel.
Hey, isn’t that the month when the world is supposed to end? That’s one way to avoid it…
BWAHAHAHA! Clever fellow.
Is Android dead?

Gaza is what is preventing peace between Israel and the Palestinean Authority, and you are stupid enough to pray for them. I hope the Department of Homeland Security has your name on their lists, terrorist!
Yes, the 1.3 million people who are trapped in a giant concentration camp are definitely the problem. That’s tantamount to blaming the Jews for Hitlers invasion of Poland.
When did the Jews started a war against Hitler?
Seems Arabs aren’t welcoming neighbors since time began…
Whereas “On November 29, 1947, the United Nations General Assembly voted 33 to 13, with 10 abstentions, in favor of a Partition Plan that created the State of Israel. The British reliquished their mandate over Palestine in 1948. War broke out between the Arabs and Jews soon after.”

Makes getting a wrong turn on Apple Maps looking pretty inconsequential.
Pray for Israel and an end to Hamas.
Must be the latest rev of jellybean. I’m on an ICS device and the month of December is alive and well.
Considering the fragmentation this can’t be a problem for many people lol
Due to its fragmentation this only affects 1% of the Android population…
I guess there is an upside to fragmentation. 😉
Why is Gingrich reporting on Android bugs? My how the mighty have fallen…
Here’s something that’s much older. All you Terminal users, enter cal 9 1752 on a Terminal command line and check out the astounding results!
More info here about 2/3 the way down under “Features.”

Them there Papists stole 11 days!
Big Grin!
Sorry to say, this is a nothing bug. Article says it affects a single app. An update would fix it easily enough (maybe they can update specific apps without updating the whole system?).
The iOS daylight savings bug in 2010 was far worse. If you didn’t know about the bug and plan for it, your Monday (or any recurring) alarm would’ve gone off an hour late, making for an interesting excuse to your boss when you got to work.
Yes they can update it without updating the entire OS
I HATE the holidays, I wish I could skip December, too. . . but not if it meant being saddled with an Android “phone”.
