Why Apple will beat estimates next quarter

“Mr. Market has a warped sense of what is disappointing. When Apple (AAPL) released earnings recently, they were dubbed disappointing and led many to question if the company was going to make a habit of missing estimates,” Chad Henage writes for The Motley Fool. “While it’s true that Apple is running into tough comparisons, long-term investors are actually getting exactly what analysts have been predicting. For the last few years analysts have pegged Apple’s EPS growth rate at around 20%; but when the company delivers on this expectation, investors are disappointed?”

“The key to understanding Apple’s earnings is knowing that consumers behave in a certain way,” Henage writes. “Those who understand the cycle of Apple’s products can benefit from the drop in the stock when the company ‘disappoints,’ and this is why I believe Apple will easily beat estimates next quarter.”

  1. Ah HaHahaHa! You LOSE. You right wing, knuckle dragging, backward hick fuckers LOSE! I love that so many of you we’re so confident that Obama would lose, only to have your fetid hopes dashed to shards. WOO! You fucking LOSE!

        1. Barnacle! I like Obama. I voted for him. He is a good and decent pain. I like his policies. You, however, are a total douche bag. STFU. This is not about Obama, it is about AAPL.

      1. Dear Red States:

We’re ticked off at your Neanderthal attitudes and politics and we’ve decided we’re leaving: “Legitimate rape” is almost reason enough!

We in Oregon intend to form our own country and we’re taking the other Blue States with us.

In case you aren’t aware that includes New York, Hawaii, California, Washington, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois and the rest of the Northeast.

We believe this split will be beneficial to the nation and especially to the people of the new country of The Enlightened States of America (E.S.A).

        To sum up briefly:

You get Texas, Oklahoma and all the slave states.

We get stem cell research and the best beaches.

We get Andrew Cuomo and Elizabeth Warren. You get Bobby Jindal and Todd Akin.

We get the Statue of Liberty. You get OpryLand.

We get Apple, Intel and Microsoft. You get WorldCom.

We get Harvard. You get Ole’ Miss.

We get 85 percent of America’s venture capital and entrepreneurs.

        You get Alabama.

We get two-thirds of the tax revenue. You get to make the red states pay their fair share.

Since our aggregate divorce rate is 22 percent lower than the Christian Coalition’s we get a bunch of happy families. You get a bunch of single moms.

Please be aware that the E.S.A. will be pro choice and anti war and we’re going to want all our citizens back from Afghanistan at once. If you need people to fight, ask your evangelicals. They have kids they’re apparently willing to send to their deaths for no purpose and they don’t care if you don’t show pictures of their children’s caskets coming home.

We wish you success in Afghanistan, and possibly Iran as well, but we’re not willing to spend our resources in these sorts of pursuits.

With the Blue States in hand we will have firm control of 80% of the country’s fresh water, more than 90% of the pineapple and lettuce, 92% of the nation’s fresh fruit, 95% of America’s quality wines (you can serve French wines at state dinners) 90% of all cheese, 90 percent of the high tech industry, most of the US low sulfur coal, all living redwoods, sequoias and condors, all the Ivy and Seven Sister schools plus Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Cal Tech, Long Beach State, CAL, San Jose State and MIT.

With the Red States you will have to cope with 88% of all obese Americans and their projected health care costs, 92% of all US mosquitoes, nearly 100% of the tornadoes, 90% of the hurricanes, 99% of all Southern Baptists, virtually 100% of all televangelists, Rush Limbaugh, Bob Jones University, Clemson and the University of Georgia.

We get Hollywood and Yosemite, thank you.

38% of those in the Red states believe Jonah was actually swallowed by a whale, 62% believe life is sacred unless we’re discussing the death penalty or gun laws, 44% say that evolution is only a theory, 53% that Saddam was involved in 9/11 and 61% of you crazy bastards believe you are people with higher morals then we lefties.

We’re taking the good weed too. You can have that crap they grow in Mexico.

        Sincerely,

Citizens of the Enlightened States of America

    1. We are circling the bowl for a little longer and we are going right in the shitter – I can’t wait to pay more taxes and hight health care to cover the crappy Obamacare. We as a nation are in big trouble and you can kiss patriotism goodbye.

      1. Lol. You make more than 250k a year then yeah, good. Pay more. Taxes on the rich are the lowest in history you whiny brat. And if you think that making insurance companies pay at least 80% of their premiums on actual health care is a bad idea then YOU LOSE. You lose because you think insurance companies should be able to deny you based on existing conditions, and you lose because you don’t think companies should compete on exchanges.

      2. I am not for Obamacare either, but it is based on ROMNEY’s own plan. His refusal to admit that and flip-flopping on many other issues (many of which I AGREE with his right-wing stances on) are reasons I voted for Obama even though I disagree with many of his policies. (The House and/or Senate will temper things.)

  2. As an investor, I have three key questions with respect to the last quarter of 2012. Since demand is very high for iPhone 5 and iPad Mini, I think the bootle neck for revenue is the production output. My questions:
1.) How many iPhones will be build in Q4 2012 (calender)
2.) How many iPad Mini will be build in Q4 2012 (calender)
3.) When will China Mobile be included as a carrier?

I am convinced that Apple will sell as many iPhone 5’s and iPad Mini’s as can be build. From there, we can calculate the revenue numbers for this quarter.

    Please respond!

  3. MDN is likely having a bitter, shitty, hopey-changey morning. I had it in 2004, I feel your pain.

But your ideas are stale, backwards and occasionally downright offensive. Steve Jobs was a liberal, period. He would have been happy like I am this morning.

And you all can suck it 🙂
